In the immortal war between gods and demons, one woman’s past holds the key to humanity’s future.

One year after joining the Legion of Angels in New York City, Leda Pierce returns home to visit her family in Purgatory, a rough and rugged frontier town that borders the plains of monsters. Leda’s family reunion is cut short, however, when her little sisters are captured by supernatural mercenaries.

Together with her angel lover Nero, she sets out to save them. Besieged by monsters, assailed by powerful foes, Leda knows this rescue mission won’t be easy. What she doesn’t expect is that it will bring her face-to-face with the secrets of her buried past.

Psychic’s Spell is the sixth book in the Legion of Angels series.

Also in this series: Vampire's Kiss, Witch's Cauldron, Siren's Song, Dragon's Storm, Shifter's Shadow

Psychic’s Spell is book six in the Legion of Angels series by Ella Summers.

First, this series does need to be read in order. Next this was another gripping installment.

Leda returns home to visit her family in Purgatory, but her visit doesn’t go as planned and soon she’s off rescuing kidnapped women.

Their are some major surprises on some of the characters. We finally learn about Leda’s heritage and the others in her family. All of them are so much more then human and each has their own destiny. The overall arc also progress nicely.

I liked Nero and Leda together. Their isn’t much on relationship growth, but that’s ok for now. Their together and Leda doesn’t need him by her side to fight the battles. She’s strong enough to stand on her own or by his side. The only down side with this relationship is that the author kept hinting that Nero might be selected to marry someone else. I don’t like this and hope it doesn’t come to be. These two clearly love each other and have marked each other with their powers, so to do this is just torchere.

There is one other thing that bothered me. The speech marks through the book. We all know that Leda “fights dirty” and that she feels everyone should learn the same. This is something we have been seeing scenes book one. I’m kinda tired of the same song and dance or should say copy and paste that’s done. It’s book six now. We don’t need it.

Overall, Psychic’s Spell had me hooked from the first to the last page. Their is action, adventure, and secrets revealed. Can’t wait for the next installment.

  1. I love that your reviews aren’t spoilery because I am STILL waiting for audio releases! I keep saying I’m going to give up and read the ebooks, but I’m scared it won’t be the same. I’m glad these are still action packed and Leda and Nero are still together. Not very happy to hear about some other marriage though! That would be bad for the story I think! Glad you enjoyed this!

    1. I’m glad I could make the review non spoilery. It’s hard sometimes to keep things out. With Nero and Leda and a possible arranged marriage for Nero for some reason the author kept having Leda think of this and so it makes me wonder if she’s going to through a reach in the story. I hope not or I hope that both fight it, if it comes to be. They are great together and have come a long way to see this would be devastating. I don’t know if the audio is coming or when…. You may just need to read it, but I haven’t herd on when the next title is released either. Have you?
