In the latest Shifters Unbound novel, a man has resigned himself to a life half lived. But a beautiful, courageous woman has him longing for something more…

Graham McNeil knows that his pack is unruly, but he’s not sure he can take the next step toward Shiftertown stability—choosing a new mate. After losing his mate and son long ago, Graham has worked hard to keep his heart in check. And even if he was inclined to bind himself again, his girlfriend, Misty, is human—a fact that won’t sit well with Graham’s old-fashioned wolves.

But Graham is up against a new enemy, one who could spell danger and death to all of Shiftertown. Graham must now defend his leadership and save Misty, the woman he has grown to love—before Shiftertown is pulled into an all-out war.

Wild Wolf is book six in the Shifters Unbound series by Jennifer Ashley. This book can be read as a stand alone. Ms. Ashley has created an interesting shifter world. We get red-hot love scenes and extremely likable characters, with some interesting mythology that is well thought out.

Graham, sexy alpha wolf, keeps his feelings hidden. He’s a tough, no nonsense alpha. He is alpha of a band of wolves that have been moved down to Las Vegas shifter town. If he was not the alpha he is, his wolves would have chewed him up long ago. They need a firm hand. Misty softens his rough edges just enough.

Misty, a human who is kind, patient and doesn’t let her physically weaker human form stop her from standing up to Graham or whomever. I like her. She is no damsel in distress. I liked how she sees Graham and is able to read him and understand that he is lost in a way that he did not know about until she came into his life.

Fabulous read! The cover is hot. Check out thous flame tattoos on Graham. Ok now for Wild Wolf. I really enjoyed the romantic aspect of this story; Graham and Misty have been dating for 8 months yet have not had sex, which is different then what we usually see in novels that feature mate bonds. Then our two main characters don’t have sex until quite a ways into the story. It worked! They make a great couple. I also liked how Misty saves Graham’s ass a few times. I also got a kick out of seeing old characters from previous books pop up again. These characters are phenomenal. We also get a nice mix of supernaturals and a new supernatural pops up gnomes (ya Gnomes). I had a laugh at this, but really enjoyed Ben. Matt & Kyle the little wolf cubs. I loved the cubs they are just so adorable. Who doesn’t love cubs?

Wild Wolf is a fantastic book whether you’re a long-time Jennifer Ashley fan or a newcomer. Great humor, sexy shifters and outstanding writing.

  1. Hi Anna, I know it was nice having the romance be different from the other books. I love this series!

  2. Oh I love the cubs too! It really was a great read. I’m so glad to see you enjoyed it as well. It was kinda nice seeing the sexual aspect of their relationship play out a little differently than the romance novel norm 🙂
