The first time she’d met him, she’d been visiting Ellie’s house to work on a project together and bam! Mason opened the front door, took one look at her and hauled her inside. What came next was something she’d never forget. She’d gotten a single look at Mason with his spiky short hair and crazy number of arm tattoos, nipple piercings and forgot how to talk. Then there was the immediate first kiss. Any other guy to try that and she’d have decked him, but Mason caught her off guard. He told her she was his and proceeded to kiss her like she was the love of his life. Stupid shifter and his sexy tongue. He’d destroyed her thinking ability way back when. Still, Emma wasn’t going to let some shifter tell her what to do. She didn’t care how sexy he was. She ignored his advances and proceeded to tell him she had a boyfriend, which she did at the time. Did he care? Not at all. He went on to tell her he’d wait because he knew in time she’d be his. Cocky asshole. Though Mason was an amazing man, he was a protector, which was sweet, but that led to him trying to tell her what to do. Her father had done that for too many years of her life and she was not going there again. Not with mutt.

The Mate Challenge is book four in the Sassy Mates series by Milly Taiden and yes, they should be read in order to get the best enjoyment out of the books.
Emma and Mason did not disappoint! This was another Fabulously Amazing read. We get a very independent women, maybe sometimes too independent, who will do anything for herself and others. We also get a very hot bad boy wolf with some very sexy tattoos and nipple piercing.
MTaiden gets us deeper into the plot, introducing us to some new and interesting characters, and throws in a few surprises along the way. Emma well I was getting a little frustrated with her at the begging, because I felt she was too independently head strong, but we learn why this is and that helped me get past that feeling. As for Mason well I LOVE him. I love all the Wolfe boys and their mother is just one great motherly figure. MTaiden gave us one hell of an ending. SURPRISE!!
I loved The Mate Challenge and I am waiting oh so patiently, not, for the next installment in the Sassy Mates series. If you enjoy hot Alpha werewolves, then this is one you don’t want to miss.
