He never meant to hurt her.

Levi “Painter” Brooks was nothing before he joined the Reapers motorcycle club. The day he patched in, they became his brothers and his life. All they asked in return was a strong arm and unconditional loyalty—a loyalty that’s tested when he’s caught and sentenced to prison for a crime committed on their behalf.

Melanie Tucker may have had a rough start, but along the way she’s learned to fight for her future. She’s escaped from hell and started a new life, yet every night she dreams of a biker whose touch she can’t forget. It all started out so innocently—just a series of letters to a lonely man in prison. Friendly. Harmless. Safe.

Now Painter Brooks is coming home… and Melanie’s about to learn that there’s no room for innocence in the Reapers MC.

~ 5 Reaper’s Fall Stars ~

Reaper’s Fall is book five in the Reapers MC series by Joanna Wylde. These Reapers live by their own rules and loyal ties that they defend at any cost.

I have been waiting for Painter to find a women who would tie him up in knots. You don’t want to miss Painter and Melanie’s jaw-dropping journey!

Reaper’s Fall is delivered to us in Painter and Melanie’s POV’s, which I enjoyed. The author does an amazing job giving the reader both sides of the story. I enjoyed how the author starts us out, then takes us back to the very beginning where we get to see all the different phases of their courtship. It’s not an easy road for either, but they battle through it. Their love was deep, almost painful at times and very intense. This relationship is full of tension and chemistry that spans a number of years, before they get their happy ending.

Painter is a man whore who doesn’t stick with any women for long, he has a Madonna complex, and because of this he tries to keep Melanie in the friend category. When these two are together they light the pages up with how intense and passionate their relationship is. Things hit a bumpy patch when he goes to prison. Painters alpha sexiness really comes out in this story along with some ass and tenderness moments. I was going “no he did not” and “what the” as well as “aww” a few times during my reading.

Melanie is smart, strong, and has a good head on her shoulders for all the shit that’s happened with her family. She knew what she was getting into with Painter and when she ends up pregnant, she does not give up. I felt for Melanie and admired her strength, but I did feel she was a little to stubborn at times.

I LOVED this novel. The author had me glued to the pages and took me on one hell of a ride. This is by far my favorite in this series. We get a great epilogue, which is sad and sweet plus some closer for Melanie in a part of her life that needed it. Can’t forget the bonus epilogue, which was such a tease, because I’m chomping at the bite for Tinker and Gage’s story now. Tease, Tease, Tease. And, last we get Sugar & Spice novella that is featured in Reapers and Bastards: A Reapers MC Anthology.

Reaper’s Fall takes us on one agonizing journey, through a love that is intense, passionate, and deep. If you enjoy a little drama and alpha biker badness, you should pick this one up. I am enjoy the world, colorful language, and oh so sexy Reapers.

  1. It was a great read. My favorite in the series. I loved how the author made it span an number of years and all the up’s and down’s they had. I liked Melanie’s stubbornness, I understood it, but some people may find it too much stubborn. ^_^ I was glad to see it work out for them. And that ending with our teaser for the next couple AHHH I want it now now now…

  2. It really was a great read. Bumps and all. Sophia thought she was stubborn too and I was all over Melanie. I woulda been just like her I’m sure. I hold a grudge hard especially over something like what he pulled. lol I was glad they worked it out though 😀
