Book Blogger Hop: Have you ever bought a book because you liked its cover art?

YES!!

Really it’s so hard not to look past a cover. I’ve put books down or not picked up others; because of the cover. I’ve also bought books just because I LOVED the cover art.

One book I bought with my 2016 Christmas money was Viper’s Run. Unfortunately; it ended up being a DNF. I should have read some reviews first, but the cover hooked me.

Some others that I’ve bought just because of their cover: Hell Breaks Loose, Blood Lust, and All the Innkeeper Chronicles to name a few. I’ve read the Innkeeper Chronicles series (Loved Them). I actually wait for the author to publish in paperback before I buy and read them. I haven’t gotten to The Sentinels series yet, but I own all the books out. Last Hell Breaks Loose I read and enjoyed. Going to be checking out more in the Devil’s Rock series.

  2. Oh yes, I have been totally blinded by a cover and clicked or scooped. I am a cover whore. If the cover appeals I will either read the synopsis or buy it/review it etc. Sad but true.

  3. Glad you enjoyed Blood Lust. I won the first two in the The Sentinels series, but still haven’t read them yet. LOL I bought Blood Lust to add to the series and well I also loved the cover ^_^. Thank’s for stopping in Megan.

  5. I am such a cover whore!! A few of my favorites are Thief of Hearts by LH Cosway (best colors!!!) and #Bae by Cambria Hebert (she got the adorable models who made the trailer for the series to do the cover!)

  6. Me, too! I’ve snatched up books for their covers. It’s always a gamble whether I’ll actually like the book inside, but at least it had a lovely cover. LOL

    I need to try that Sophie Jordan series and I love The Innkeeper Chronicles. 🙂

    1. I’ve only read the one pictured above for Sophie Jordan, but at my library’s book story they had another one in the series and I snatched it up. ^_^ Who know if or when I’ll read it, but it’s got a nice cover.

  7. I Have. Some covers are just so nice, it’s hard not too. I remarked on a blogger friends post a couple of years ago that I adored the cover of the book she had just reviewed and she sent it to me! I loved that.

  8. I still haven’t read the The Sentinels series by Alexandra Ivy. Covers pull us in. Their are some really amazing ones out their and they will get us each and every time.

  10. I’m pretty good about not buying books for the cover, but their are a few that just grab me and I have to have. I haven’t done the reissue buys for books like that before, but I’m sure it will happen one of these days. ^_^

  11. One of my worst habits!!! But I’m getting better.I don’t know how many times I’d see a awesome cover by one of my fave writers and thought it was new so I’d buy it get home and start to read it and realize it was a reissue!!! They love people like me!!! Lol!!! Shared on my socials!!

  13. I have bought a few books because of the cover. I got the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness, which I have not read. I also have the Crescent City series by Kristen Painter. I have listened to the White Trash Zombie series but I still buy the paperbacks when I find them because the covers are absolutely gorgeous!
