Movie Review: Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)

I went to see Jumanji: The Next Level over winter break in the theater.

It’s fun and entertaining. We are treated to the same old gang, but also some new characters pop in.

We return to the world of Jumanji. It had all the humor and laugh out loud moments as the first movie. Several fast-paced action scenes as the cast try to survive the world. It’s still the same game only with a new mission and lots of character swapping. Though there is a possible hint at the end that a third movie might be coming. If that’s the case I’ll be seeing it.

Overall, I enjoyed Jumanji: The Next Level and the fun cast we have. I like the new spin on Jumanji and the cast. Entertaining! As for watching it in the theater, I could have waited for it to come out on BluRay.

  1. I liked the remake better than the original Jumanji. Haven’t seen this one yet, but looking forward to watching it with my kids at some point.

  2. I absolutely loved this one. I didn’t see the “original” new Jumanji in the theater, but after discovering it, I’ve watched it at least a half-dozen times. I was happy to see all the original cast returning. Hats off the the “in game actors” who convincingly switch characters. Lots of fun.

    1. The cast did a great job changing up their characters with all that switching. Glad you enjoyed. It is a fun movie and so is the first one.
