Rescued by Her Bear is book two in the Black Ridge Bears by Felicity Heaton. It starts where Saint has sent the brothers off to get the main cabin ready. We follow Lowe as he protects and saves his mate Cameo.
Lowe is the easy going brother. The one who thinks and calms the situation, but when his mate shows up he has to really fight his bear to not scare her and not hurt the males in his pride. I loved his sweet protectiveness and how he went slow with Cameo.
Cameo is a human who doesn’t know about shifters. She does know how to survive in the wilderness and heads out their hoping it will slow the men out to capture, toucher, and kill her down. She’s a women who doesn’t want to be a burden.
Cameo and Lowe where perfect for each other. I enjoyed their romance and how things builded up to them becoming lovers. We don’t really have them being mates, yet, but it’s heading in that direction. Lowe gives Cameo the time she needs before and after she learns about shifters.
I enjoyed Rescued by Her Bear and love the bears. It’s a quick read that packs a lot in. I always enjoy Heaton’s writing and how she weaves her tales. We are taken on a wonderfully simple romance with a few twists and surprises. Only thing that I didn’t like was at the end; I felt that some things where left opened and I would have liked them addressed.
Rescued by Her Bear is full of hope, adventure, and romance. I’m looking forward to the next installment which features Lowe’s brother Knox.
