Book 1 in the series, Called by the Bear
Carly Cutler's dreams predict the future. So when she dreams of a hot guy, a bear, and a paw print design, a force she can't fight makes her leave the only life she's ever known.
With a fresh tattoo of a bear paw and her best friend, Sierra by her side she sets off on a quest to find a man she's never met. Carly and Sierra discover more women like them on the trip from California to Maine, and Lily and Taylor join them for the adventure of a lifetime as they discover lies, deception and true mate love in the secret world of werebear.

I picked Called by the Bear up as a freebie. I wanted to like it, but ended up DNFing at 37%.
I didn’t care for the writing structure. It’s poorly written and was hard to get into. The story is also divided up into multiple POV’s that made it hard to keep track of what was going on. This structure I like, but here it didn’t work. It’s also divided up into Three Parts. I think it was a serial and the author just threw it together into one book and didn’t flush it out.
The story is about fated mates and I like this type of storyline, but this time it didn’t work for me.
Called by the Bear was not the book for me. If the blurb intrigues you, I urge you to give it a shot. Just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t for you.
Rated: DNF 37%

I don’t really read a lot of shifter books, occasionally werewolves, but that’s it. Writing style or editing can be a big issue too for me as well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about it!

I read a lot of shifters, but bad or no editing is a no go. Thanks for checking out my review.
Yeah, sometimes that need for a bit more editing and polishing makes all the difference in the world. You gave it a good shot. Onward to the next one. 🙂
Agree. Thanks for visiting.
That’s too bad, since the cover has potential.
Ya this one didn’t hit it of. Onto the next. Thanks for visiting!
