Book Blogger Hop: National Hobby Month

This weeks prompt 10th-16th – January is National Hobby Month.  Do you have any pastimes or interests other than reading that go well with your love of books and literature? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)

 

I blog about books. That is why where here! I collect books. Have a few authors that are auto-buy to keep on my bookshelf. I also like to do adult paint by numbers and when I work on that I can listen to an audiobook. Other then that no hobbies realtered to books or literature. In the hobby area. I used to horseback ride. Loved it, still do, but life happened and I haven’t in years. I like to watch TV. Not sure if that’s a hobby. ^_^

  1. I do gardening and reading books about landscaping, different plants, and ways to garden. Guess that can go alone with my bookish hobby.

  2. Oo, sounds like fun! I would like to take up crocheting and maybe brush up on my baking skills. But neither hobby is overly bookish. Book blogging, reviewing, reading (yes, like actually reading the books instead of just talking about them 🤣, I’ve been guilty of talking about or looking for new books more than reading at times too, so maybe that’s another hobby? 😅) and bookstagram are all kind of my ‘bookish’ hobbies.

      Thanks for sharing and visiting. I tried knitting, but it wasn’t for me. You could crochet or knit while listening to an audiobook and that’s kinda bookish ^_^. Have a great day!

  3. I’ve taken up jigsaw puzzles to go with audio books in the last few years and I like to do a vegetable garden each year, but that’s really the extent of my hobbies outside reading.

    1. Hello and Welcome! I love horses and dogs. I grew up on a farm and always had a horse then I went to collage and life completely changed. Now I don’t own a horse, but when I can (usually on a trip) I try to do a trail ride. Lots of books with horses, cowboys, and more… Thanks for visiting and sharing.

  6. I haven’t tried those paint by numbers thing, but they sound fun and like a nice one to combine with audiobooks. Horse riding does sound like a tough hobby to make time for, but hopefully you can do it again eventually.
