Hope Anderson loves her life. She has a great business that’s thriving, the best friends a girl could ever have, and a coven she can count on. Oh, and she’s been single for over fifteen years and likes it that way… until the love of her life, Lucas King, walks back into town and throws everything she thought she knew about herself into chaos.

If that wasn’t enough, now her mother is in town to warn her about a curse that happens to all the Anderson women when they turn forty-six, and she isn’t talking about hot flashes or mood swings. When her mother moves in and Grace’s business is suddenly on the rocks, it’s going to take all of her magic to get her life back on track. The question is, will Lucas prove he deserves to be traveling that line with her, or will she walk away the same way she did fifteen years ago?

“I’ve loved you since I was seventeen years old. It may have taken us thirty years to finally get here, but now that we are, I don’t want to waste another day.” – 94%

Third time’s the charm….

Hope inherits a supernatural power, reading minds and she takes this with ease. She understands how intrusive this power is and uses it wisely. I like her level headedness, her friends, and coven.

Lucas and Hope might just get it right this time around. They both choose their careers over the other person. That isn’t a bad thing; because their romantic pauses allowed them to both be in a place where they can devote themselves completely to being a couple. I will say the romance again is a side-dish then the main-course in the storyline.

The storyline is about love, paranormal abilities, family curse, true friendship and rebuilding the family connection. It also has a mystery to be solved. I like how the story is full of strong powerful women; though they still struggle with their own insecurities in their own ways.

Witching For Hope was an enjoyable read. I like that this series features over 40 heroines, but I’m not getting captured. I’ll be moving onto something else.

About Deanna Chase

Deanna is a native Californian. After spending five years traveling in an RV, she and her husband moved into an adorable cottage in a small town outside of New Orleans. After about six months, Deanna was convinced their 1907 home was haunted. Late at night as she penned Haunted on Bourbon Street, she often heard footsteps throughout the old house. Luckily, the spirit appears to be harmless, as he/she has never done more than make a little noise and possibly smoke a few cigars. However, if the ghost ever shows up in a dream, you’ll be the first to hear of it. Smudge stick anyone?

When she isn’t writing, she is often goofing off with her husband in New Orleans and playing with her two shih tzu dogs.

  1. I’ve enjoyed these paranormal women’s fics with the middle aged heroines that have been coming out in recent years, too. Deanna Chase’s series has been on my list to try so I’m glad to see you liked it.
