Randomness: Rafflecopter Closing Down

Well I hoped on Rafflecopter today and saw this message from the them:

After 15 amazing years, the Rafflecopter platform will be shutting down on October 1, 2025.

Through September 30, the platform will continue operating as normal, and you will continue to have full access to your account. We strongly encourage you to  before then and export anything you want to keep.

We’re incredibly proud of the millions of giveaways—run by everyone from bloggers to Fortune 500 brands—that helped make the internet a brighter, more joyful place.

Thank you for your never-ending enthusiasm, creativity, and support! It’s meant the world to us.

To say the least I’m not happy😡😿.  I wish they had sent out an email letting me know.  Now I have to figure out an alternative and quick; because I have giveaways going on now and upcoming ones.

IF YOU HAVE ENTERED A GIVEAWAY THAT IS GOING ON NOW you may see a change and have to re-enter and your previous shares will not transfer over to the new place.  I’m sorry about this!  Nothing I can do to fix this.

Everything I’ve looked at doesn’t give me good free options like Rafflecopter did.  I’m having to pay and it’s not cheep for a year long service.

I’m hoping my blogger friends will share their alternatives to Rafflecopter!?  Lord knows I need it!

    1. It was a shock. I was scrambling this past week to find a new giveaway app to use. Gleam seams to be the one everyone is going to. I also found GiveawayTools a free services like Rafflecopter. Though I went with the RafflePress PlugIn for the blog and paid for the Lifetime Key membership. It’s really easy to use and I’ve got my first giveaway going with it. Thanks for visiting!

  1. I looked briefly at Rafflepress which I would have to have Ashley add for me since I don’t host my own site. So I couldn’t see how to get the free version exactly. I looked at Sweepwidget but it didn’t have some of the features I like. The free Gleam looks like it will work. I’m not as graphics skilled as you. I’m putting together a giveaway on it for the Sept post of the Read-along. I’ll up date you after I finish creating it. I did try exporting from Rafflecopter which made a nice CSV file. Now to figure out if/how it can be imported. I can pull it into a spreadsheet and move columns around to line up with the Gleam format maybe.

    1. RafflePress is a PlugIn. Ashley could install. It’s easy to download and add the key and use. They don’t have a free version only pay or lifetime. I wanted to try before buying, but I bought it. I’ve got a giveaway going now with it.
I checked out Sweepwidget to and as you said it didn’t have features I liked as well.
Gleam is good. It just doesn’t have enough options on the free version for me and the pay version is expensive for a year. I tried the pay version, but ended up getting a refund. I just couldn’t justify paying that much a year when I could get RafflePress for the same price and have a lifetime of it.
I checked out Woobox, but that one I didn’t like at all.
I apricate the update and thoughts!

    1. Thanks Katie for the suggest. I looked at Kingsumo and didn’t like that it sent me to another app to buy. I couldn’t get the stuff to work after purchase, so I disregarded this one. I apricate the help.
