Tell Me Something Tuesday: What would you do if you won the lottery?

What would you do if you won the lottery?

If I won the lottery I’d donate some to a few different organizations; My local library, Coral Restoration Foundation, our local animal shelter Peninsula Human Society, Arbor Day Foundation, & a horse rescue. Keep a little to pay bills, set some aside to do home renovations on our MO House and last invest the rest.

  2. A bit late to the conversation, but first and foremost? Pay off my student loans. Just, dump a lump sum on them and wipe them from the board, hands down. That would be such a huge load off of me, emotionally and mentally. Then pay off the rest of my debt (which is pretty much just a small car loan).

    After that, I’d buy a house for my mom and me in our dream location (or, if a house that works for us can’t be found, buy a piece of land in that area and build what we need/want), make some donations to my favorite places (my local library, humane societies, etc), and also help family members get out of their own debt. They have a house or car payment? We’ll pay it off and free up that portion of their income. Meanwhile, I’d also be investing the heck out of the money as well.

    I’ve thought about this a lot lol.

  3. I love ABBA! Great song. Now I’m thinking about “Money” songs, and I think of the Pink Floyd song. Donating the money is a great idea! Love those causes.

  4. All great choices. My first thought was to build the house I want, but I’d also like to travel. Perhaps I would buy a small RV for traveling and share with my family, and friends. I’d also put money into a long term care insurance as well as a deferred annuity.

    1. Those are good options. I think a lot of ppl are going the RV travel route lately. Nice to travel with pets and friends and family. Thanks for sharing what you would do if you won the lottery. I like it!
