Welcome to the Book Blogger Hop hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. The hop takes place weekly, starting on a Friday and concluding the following Thursday. Each week features a specific prompt that poses a book-related question for participants to address. The primary aim of the blog hop is to facilitate connections among bloggers, encouraging them to follow one another, explore new book titles, and increase their audience. This weeks prompt – Jan. 30th – Do you struggle to start a new read after finishing a truly amazing one? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)
My Answer: Absolutely! It’s so easy to get wrapped up in a beautifully crafted world and its characters. When a story leaves you emotionally overloaded, there’s that lingering fear that the next book simply won’t measure up. Even so, the heart of a book lover is resilient; we’re always ready to dive into a new adventure and hope for that magic to strike again.
I’d love to hear from you!

Good answer! I do get a little depressed when I finish a really good series. My trick to re-starting my interest is to pick my new read to be very different.
I know I have this issue when the next books on my TBR or review list maybe are ones that a publisher sent me and I didn’t ask for. Or if they’re a little out of the type of books I usually devour. I remember one time I DNFed a bunch of audiobooks after I had finished a really good one. Great post!
