Do you like spoilers? Do you read the last chapter first?

I’m definitely “Team No Spoilers!” I love the thrill of a good surprise! I’ve never been the type to peek at the last chapter; for me, the magic of reading is all about discovering the story as it unfolds. I really appreciate it when reviewers use spoiler warnings or hide them behind tags so I can choose whether or not to look. When I write my own reviews, I aim to keep them spoiler-free, but if I do include any, I always make sure to lead with a clear warning. I know some readers love knowing the ending ahead of time, but I think the journey is much more enjoyable when the destination is still a mystery!

Now it’s your turn!

  1. I love those spoiler tags that can hide part of the review, too, so I have options. Although, I do get FOMO and am highly tempted to know what is behind the hidden door…

  2. Agreed 100%. I also tag anything I consider to be a spoiler in my reviews. Once and a while I will give a big spoiler (hidden or marked) because I had such an issue and DNF’d or gave a low rating – so I feel I need to be clear on why.

    1. I totally understand that! For me, though, even if I’m stressing out, I still have to avoid those spoilers. I just love the thrill of the surprises in a story too much! Thanks so much for sharing your perspective and for visiting, Rachel!
