What’s your favorite board/card game?

This week’s Tell Me Something Tuesday is all about our favorite board and card games!

Personally, I love a mix of the classics and newer finds. I’m a bit old-school, so Sorry! is always my go-to board game, alongside a classic game of Uno. We actually have a few versions of Uno in rotation—the classic deck, Uno Minecraft, and Uno Flip—and both spin-offs are a total blast.

As for newer games, we’ve really gotten into Vantage and Plunder: A Pirate’s Life as a family. Both are an absolute riot when you have a bigger group of more than three people. In fact, Plunder has officially become our staple game whenever family comes to visit!

Now it’s your turn!

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Sophia! You really can’t go wrong with the classics like Sorry! and Uno. But honestly, there are just so many amazing newer games out there to choose from these days, too. I really hope you get a chance to check out Plunder—it is an absolute blast when you have a big group together! Thanks so much for sharing your favorites!

  1. I find people around me aren’t too interested in board games these days, but I really enjoy playing a game of Sequence at holiday gatherings, with my family

    1. Hi Suzie! I completely understand what you mean—it can definitely be tough to find a crew for board games these days. We are usually the same way and don’t get them out unless we have family visiting, which usually revolves around the holidays. The rest of the time, it’s mostly video games keeping us busy! 🎮 Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your favorites!

  2. I still have my Sorry! from the 1980s!! We play it every once and a while. I’m not familiar with Plunder – I need to check it out. I’m so made, I bought a game at a fair back a couple months ago and lost it before we ever played it.

    1. Oh no, that is such a bummer about losing a game before you even got to try it! But it is so cool that you still have your original 1980s copy of Sorry!—that’s a classic. You should definitely check out Plunder! I absolutely love pirates, so it’s a huge hit for me, and of course, my son loves it too.

    1. The Game of Life is such a fun one to play! It definitely brings back great memories. Kids really do get so into Uno—that’s exactly how we ended up with so many different versions in rotation at our house! Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your favorites!
