Happy Wednesday, book friends! ☕✨
Welcome back to another WWW Wednesday—the ultimate mid-week check-in originally created by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and wonderfully revived by Taking on a World of Words. Grab your favorite drink and let’s dive right into exactly what’s on my shelves (and in my earbuds) this week! 📚👇

What are you currently reading/listening?

Currently Listening: Undertow by Willa Blackmore (The Carolina Files, #2) 🎧 I chose this one specifically for July’s TBR Tackle Challenge prompt—which requires a cover featuring water! 🌊 So far, it’s the perfect fit for both the challenge and my listening queue.
What did you recently finish reading/listening?

Finished Listening: A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn 🎧 I am not usually a historical fiction fan, but this audiobook completely won me over! I was so pleasantly surprised by this first installment and cannot wait to keep going with the series. That said, I might actually pause until 2027 because I just discovered it’s going to be the official 2027 Read-Along pick hosted by Books of My Heart!
It also turned out to be a double-whammy for my challenges: it checks off the “Blast From the Past” prompt (book featuring a historical setting) for Beat the Backlist, and perfectly fits July’s TBR Challenge theme of Freedom! (thanks to a main character making a run for it from a highly dangerous situation).
What do you think you’ll read/listen to next?

Up next on my list is Druid Vices and a Vodka by Helen Harper! This is the next pick for our ongoing Read-Along, and I can’t wait to dive in and see where the story takes us.

Your turn! What are you reading, what did you finish, and what’s next on your list? Drop a link to your post or share your titles in the comments—I’d love to see what’s on your shelves!

I’m so glad you enjoyed Veronica and Stoker, or as my daughter calls them “Butterfly Lady and Taxidermy Dude.” It’s one of my favorite series.
I just finished Fossil Feud by Maggie North. It’s a cute contemporary romance between two paleontologists. I’m currently listening to the second Dungeon Crawler Carl books.
Love that! “Butterfly Lady and Taxidermy Dude” is the perfect way to describe them. 😂 Hope you enjoy the second Dungeon Crawler Carl book! Thanks so much for visiting and sharing, Jen!
Druid Vices is a shocker. I can’t believe all he things I didn’t remember. I just finished rereading it.
I love ❤️ that you got shocked by it all over again! I’m running a little behind and might miss review date post, but Druid Vices is absolutely my next listen. It’s been a stressful couple of months and I’m still trying to get back into a good reading groove, but I’m glad I’m at least making some progress. Thanks for visiting!
