Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday! This weekly meme was created by the wonderful That Artsy Reader Girl out of a pure love for lists, books, and bringing the bookish community together. If you want to check out the upcoming schedule or join in on the fun, you can find all the topics on her blog!
📚🎧☕
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Book Series I Want to Catch Up On (or Series You’d Like to Start). While my “want-to-start” list is practically endless, my main focus right now is tackling the series I’ve already begun! Before I dive headfirst into brand new worlds, I’m determined to catch up on—and hopefully finish—some of these incredible series sitting on my TBR. I’ve even created a spreadsheet to track my progress and keep myself accountable! Links lead to Goodreads.
- Black Hat Bureau by Hailey Edwards ~ I’ve read up to listened 8 out of 10.
- Parasol Protectorate by Gail Carriger ~ I’ve listened up to book 3 out of 5
- The Other Detective by Heather G. Harris ~ I’ve listened up to book 3 out of 5 – waiting on the them to be in audio and available at my library.
- Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries by Angie Fox ~ I’ve listened up to book 4 out of 15 – I own most in audio just got side-tracked.
- Psy-Changeling Trinity by Nalini Singh ~ I’ve listened up to book 7 out of 10 – I own them in audio just got side-tracked.
- The Portlock Paranormal Detective by Heahter G. Harris ~ I’ve listened up to book 5 out of 8
- Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery by Danielle Garrett ~ I’ve listened up to book 7 out of 12
- Mercy Thompson by Patricia Briggs ~ I’ve listened up to book 13 out of 14 – I own them in audio just got side-tracked.
- Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer ~ I’ve listened up to book 2 out of 4
- Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst ~ I’ve listened up to book 1 out of 4

How do you keep track of the series you’ve started—are you a spreadsheet reader like me, or do you just vibe with your TBR? What’s one series you’re dying to catch up on this season?
Let me know in the comments!

I love me a spreadsheet, so YES, I have one to track the series I’m reading. Honestly, I’d be lost without it because I am in the middle of SO many series. I need to actually finish some of them, LOL. Good luck to both of us!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I only discovered the series spreadsheet this year and I’m so glad I did! I’m still in the process of adding all my started series so I can track everything and decide what to tackle next. I also use a fantastic reading tracker spreadsheet created by Elaine Howlin Book Blog. I wasn’t big on spreadsheets until last year, but even alongside Goodreads and StoryGraph, I’ve really come to love them. Thanks so much for stopping by, Susan!
Too funny, I’ve also read the first 4 of The Southern Ghost Hunter series and need to get back to it. I haven’t started Spellshop yet, but hope to soon. I read the first Assistant to the Villain on a recommendation and want to read the rest. I hope you enjoy all of these and get the chance to catch up on them all.
Haha, we really are so in tune! I absolutely love Kingsley 🐸 the froggy in Assistant to the Villain—he is so adorable and fun! I originally picked up the first book because of all the hype when it debuted, and then I listened to book two early this year. I haven’t continued yet, but I definitely plan to, if only to get more Kingsley!
The Spellshop was definitely a shift from what I normally read. It’s a very laid-back, cozy, and slow-paced comfort read, but I found it so relaxing and loved all the magical 🌵 plants featured. So cute!
As for the Southern Ghost Hunter series, I’ve loved everything I’ve listened to so far! I just got sidetracked and never made my way back, even though I already own most of the series in audio.
Thanks so much for visiting, chatting, and sharing, Carla!
Hope you enjoy all these! I remember the Gail Carriger books being a lot of fun.
Thanks for stopping by, Nicky! Happy reading! 📚✨
I finished Adversary to the Villain today, and I’m not sure how I feel about it, though. I’ve heard it’s the last book in the series, but I hope not.
Here’s my TTT for the week: https://readbakecreate.com/ten-series-i-hope-to-catch-up-on-in-2026/
Oh no, that makes me wonder if she left things unfinished! I guess I’ll see when I finally get to it. I’m mostly reading the series for Kingsley the little froggy—he is so much fun! 🐸 Thanks for stopping by, Pam. Happy reading! 📚✨
I need to get caught up in the Spellshop series too! Just read the first one but liked it enough to want more! Lol. I am massively behind in Singh’s Guild Hunter series! Like I think I was still on single digit for series numbers! Lol.
Thanks for visiting my TTT!
I’ve heard good things about the Assistant to the Villain series!
Love Nalini Singh series and am waiting for the latest. I read the first Mercy Thomson but wouldn’t mind gettign back to that series.
You’ve got some looooong series here! Wishing you luck to finish them 🙂
Yep! I somehow start long series but then get distracted and never finish them—even if I really enjoy them. I’ve been trying to focus this year on my TBR, backlist, and series I’ve started. Thanks for visiting!
I tried reading The Spellshop but couldn’t vibe with it so it ended up being a DNF sadly 🙁 I hope you make some progress on these soon! 😀

The Spellshop looks so cute.
The Spellshop isn’t my usual read—it’s cuter, lazier, and slower-paced than what I normally pick up. That said, I really enjoyed it and plan to continue with the series. It had a lovely, comfy, magical feel to it. Thanks for visiting!
