It's not always easy being a female warrior with a nickname like Annwyl the Bloody. Men tend to either cower in fear—a lot—or else salute. It's true that Annwyl has a knack for decapitating legions of her ruthless brother's soldiers without pausing for breath. But just once it would be nice to be able to really talk to a man, the way she can talk to Fearghus the Destroyer.

Too bad that Fearghus is a dragon, of the large, scaly and deadly type. With him, Annwyl feels safe—a far cry from the feelings aroused by the hard-bodied, arrogant knight Fearghus has arranged to help train her for battle. With her days spent fighting a man who fill her with fierce, heady desire, and her nights spent in the company of a magical creature who could smite a village just by exhaling, Annwyl is sure life couldn't get any stranger. She's wrong...

Also in this series: What a Dragon Should Know, Light My Fire, Dragon on Top, Feel the Burn, Everlasting Bad Boys, Bring the Heat

Audio May 2018: I had a fun time with the audio for Dragon Actually. The male voices took some getting use too. I didn’t care for them at first, but the farther along I got the more they grew on me. Audio Rating: 4 Stars

~ 5 Stars ~

I read this series so long ago, but I just had to pick it back up again and experience the wonder and fantasy of Dragon Kin again. I love love love G.A. Aiken aka Shelly Laurenstion’s writing and the characters she creates. This series brings me my favorite paranormal shifters Dragons.

Dragon Actually is the first in the Dragon Kin series by G.A. Aiken. WOW! I never get board picking this book/series up again. It’s so easy to read, quick, and loads of fun. The development of the romance/love between Fearghus and Annwyl was wonderfully done. I enjoyed the distinction between romantic love and friendship. I also enjoy the witty banter that goes on along with some kick ass action. This book has the perfect balance of love/romance and humor/action.

The main characters: Annwyl, know as Annwyl the Bloody is a warrior chick who does what she pleases. She is a force to be reckoned with, loads of passion and determination. I just love strong women and Annwyl is that. She is a great character to read about. Mighty, strong and a temper to go with her passion. Fearghus, know as Fearghus the Destroy is a dragon, but we learn that they can change into human. He pretends to be a knight to help Annwyl fight better, but he is an arrogant knight. I enjoyed the alpha dragon who likes a good challenge.

If you have not picked up this Dragon Kin series yet. I highly recommend you do especially if you love dragons, witty banter, kick ass characters and loads of adventure.

    1. Me too Anna I love this series. I think this is maybe my fourth time picking it back up, but the first time I’m written reviews for it. ^_^ Thank’s for stoping in!

      1. I can’t believe I’ve not reviewed them either. I was re-reading her Pride series even and havn’t reviewed most of them other than the last 2 releases I think. So bad! That’s great you’re getting them reviewed and up this time I should so follow suit!

  1. I love the sound of this not just because of the dragons by I can tell the world building is unique. Thanks for putting it on my radar
