After making a diplomatic pact with humankind and the other leaders of the Elder Races, Pia Cuelebre, mate to Dragos Cuelebre, Lord of the Wyr, reluctantly heads to Hollywood to spend a week with the Light Fae Queen, Tatiana, before the busy Masque season hits New York in December.

Dragos has never let the lack of an invitation stop him from doing anything he wanted. Unwilling to let his mate make the trip without him, he travels to southern California in secret to be with her.

But when an ancient enemy launches a shattering assault against the Light Fae, Dragos and Pia must intercede. The destruction threatens to spread and strike a mortal blow against all of the magically gifted, both human and Elder Race alike.
Working with the Light Fae to neutralize the danger, Dragos and Pia find their deepest vulnerabilities challenged and their most closely held secrets threatened with exposure.

PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD is the second part of a three-story series about Pia, Dragos, and and their son, Liam. Each story stands alone, but fans might want to read all three: DRAGOS GOES TO WASHINGTON, PIA DOES HOLLYWOOD, and LIAM TAKES MANHATTAN.

Also in this series: Dragos Takes a Holiday, Pia Saves the Day, Peanut Goes to School, Night's Honor, Oracle's Moon, Midnight's Kiss

~ 3 Pia Does Hollywood Stars ~

Pia Does Hollywood is novella #8.6 in the Elder Races series by Thea Harrison. An ancient enemy attacks the Light Fae and secrets of the Cuelebre’s maybe exposed.

I have come to love Pia, Dragos, and Liam, but these novellas are all starting to feel the same, with the Cuelebre’s being brought into a disaster and then one or the other has to save the other mate. It’s starting to feel the same old same old even the relationship has leveled out. As for Pia and Dragos I was not as in love with them in this novella. They where to obsessed with each other and themselves.

I did enjoyed the little bit of mystery and action we got in the plot, but my favorite part are the dreams Pia has of the baby on the way. I just love what he is.

As things go Pia Does Hollywood was an ok read and I will always be a fan of this couple, but I think it’s time the author moves on to writing about new or other couples in the Elder Races series.

About Thea Harrison

I write paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and other stuff. I taught myself to read when I was four. That was around the time I tried to ride my tricycle to work. I wasn’t sure where work was, but I knew it had to be interesting if people went there every day. Now I combine my love of books with work, and I don’t have to ride my tricycle to get there. My Elder Races series began May, 2011. You can also find me on Twitter and Facebook!

  1. Oo I love Thea. My favorites in this series are Oracle’s Moon (Elder Races, #4), Lord’s Fall (Elder Races, #5), The Wicked (Elder Races, #5.5), Dragos Takes a Holiday (Elder Races, #6.5) & Pia Saves the Day (Elder Races, #6.6). The series does need to be read in order and I’ve rated all except 5 books/novellas 4 to 5 stars.

  2. never read this writer, what are some of the great ones from this series? thanks!!

  3. These last few novellas with Pia and Dragos just did not WOW me as the previous ones. I have also had hit or misses in Elder Races series too. I’m actually reading in order; because some big events happen in the novel Shadow’s End that affect Liam for his novella Liam takes Manhattan or so I’ve heard. I’ll see if this is true. I will always enjoy this family, but I would like to see other couples get some novellas.

  4. I’ve purchased this audiobook. I haven’t listened to it yet. I purchased all three that you show here. I could see how they could all feel the same though. I do love my time with this family. I will have to see what happens when I get to these books. I know that the Elder Races is a hit or miss series for me.
