Blades Of Sorcery starts right where Blades Of Illusion ends. We pretty much end when a battle starts and so we pick up right where the battle was happening. I have to say this was the longest battle scene I’ve ever read. We make it to Chapter 5 and we’re still in the battle. Partly 50% of the book is one long battle. The only exciting thing that happens is we finally get to see what a Battle Mage can do.
Not much of anything happens in Blades Of Sorcery. Theirs’s no character growth or development. We still don’t learn why the war is happening. No tide pits or pieces to tell us anything. Her friend, Ezekiel, is missing for most of the book and so we don’t get to see them interact like they did in the previous titles. We do see that those around Sara see her as a leader, but she’s uncomfortable with this and not ready for that role.
The only time we do get something of interests is the very last chapter at the end where Sara finally meets the man her father trusted above all others. The one they have been looking for, but then the book ends with a big reveal on her quest and we have to wait for the next title to find out more.
Blades Of Sorcery was long and tedious.

I do agree with you on the covers. They are fantastic. As for the book, I almost did DNF, but I kept going. Something had me still reading even though most of the book is a big battle scene. Thank’s for visiting, Mary.
