He’s the monster on the space station. I’m the girl who always runs.

I thought I would die alone in the heap of floating space junk orbiting a planet that's not Earth.
But then he burst through an airlock. And now I know two things:
We are not alone and aliens are not little green men.

They’re hulking great winged predators with abs that go on forever and a penchant for hunting humans.

My alien has to be the most gorgeous being I’ve ever seen.

From the look in his dark eyes, he wants so much more than first contact. He wants to consume me...

And for the first time in my life, I stop running. With any luck, I'm going to be lunch.

Storm is the first in the brand new sci-fi romance series from Hattie Jacks. Space has never been this spicy! Featuring winged aliens who will do absolutely anything for their found human mates...meet the elite Legion of the Gryn and get ready for your next set of alien book boyfriends!

Elite Rogue Alien Warriors is a stand alone spin off from the bestselling Rogue Alien Warriors series.

Storm is book one in the Elite Rogue Alien Warriors series by Hattie Jacks.

This is my first taste of Jacks and I wasn’t impressed. It features primal play. The story writing was a bit boring and I was confused on the plot and world building. I did enjoy the sexy winged aliens.

As for the Hero and Heroine they both have issues that made me not fall for them nor did I hate them. They just were. The Hero declares his love one after another and it’s way too much. Then the word prey is over used in the dialogue. Last, the H&H relationship just didn’t feel healthy.

After reading a few reviews it turns out this is a spin-off sereis. Had I known this I would have started with the first sereis and then I’d have some context.

I am curious about the world and the liberation they just had. I also enjoyed the nesting aspect. Their were things I didn’t like, but also things I found enjoyable. We will see if I continue with this author and sereis.

Fans of primal play and sexy aliens with wings might enjoy this. Turns out Storm was not the book for me. If the blurb intrigues you, I urge you to give it a shot. Just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t for you.

  1. Interesting alien aspects that always make sci-fi romances fun, but if the characters were blah for you, that does make it hard to get into the story. Hopefully, if you get a chance to start with book one of the original series and you’ll have a better experience and get a better context and feel of the worldbuilding.

    1. That is my thought as well Sophia. It had as you said some fun alien aspects which I enjoy different stuff for the alien romance that go with the sexy aliens. I just really didn’t like these two characters, so this one didn’t work. Will see how the 1st series goes since this is a spin-off.

    1. I like the cover which caught my eye and the blurb had me intrigued, but it didn’t work out for me. Not sure if I’ll try another one or start with the first sereis since this is a spin-off. At this time I’m holding off on more.
