Cowboy Christmas Blues is #0.5 in the Gold Valley series by Maisey Yates and it’s a sweet novella centered around Christmas time.
Annabelle and Cooper had scorching hot chemistry, humor, and passion. These two grabbed my heart. Cooper is not in a good places when the novella starts and watching him struggle with his grief made me ache. Annabelle, I loved her. She’s kind, brave, and she finds her self-confidence after a bad relationship. Their romance is sweet.
I will say I don’t think I would have enjoyed this novella as much as I did if I hadn’t read A Tall, Dark Cowboy Christmas first. Why I say this is; because Cowboy Christmas Blues is short and I would have liked more. Also I had an understand of where Cooper was coming from and his heartache; because he’s the brother-in-law to Grant, who is featured in A Tall, Dark Cowboy Christmas, and since I understand their loss it helped me connect more to Cooper.
Cowboy Christmas Blues is a quick and sweet read. It’s balanced with bits of humor and delicious steamy moments.
