Deputy US Marshal Cait Keane is a Witch with a Badge – and a Dragon for a partner.

The Boston office tour will have to wait - her first day on the job in her new appointment is canceled to pursue a federal fugitive, a magical with a penchant for fire.

She’ll need her gun and her wand to take him down. What will her team think of having a magical on board?

When a federal judge is killed, she discovers she’s in the middle of a territorial battle between criminal organizations. The killer is a magical, or working with one, which makes Cait the perfect Marshal to take them down.

Add in a threat to her coven and life has become a lot more challenging for Cait Keane.

The US Marshal with something extra wouldn’t have it any other way.

For action, magic, snarky banter, martial arts, mystical creatures, and high intrigue join Cait Keane on her new adventure!

Witch With a Badge is book one in the Witch Warrior series by T.R. Cameron.

I had high hopes on falling in like with this urban fantasy series. It’s got lots of things I like to read in my fantasy novels; magic, dragons, and mystery, but I ended up DNF’ing.

I felt like the story was all over the place. Too many characters, too much information that drags, and too much skipping around and going from one place to another. The story just kept going and I was like will anything wrap up. I felt like the author had no idea where they where going. No focus.

As for the characters I wasn’t connecting to them. Our lead Cait she’s cool and perfect. She’s got amazing powers, gain’s more special skills, can fight, teleports, has a family of magical people and an unspoken destiny. Really were are her flaws. A character needs to have some flaws, be humble and earn their reward. She’s just to perfect.

Witch With a Badge I really tried, but it wasn’t the book for me. If the blurb intrigues you, I urge you to give it a shot. Just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t for you.

    1. I was so close to the end, but the plot was all over the place. I just couldn’t read anymore and I wanted to like this novel and continue the series, but oh well. Thanks for visiting and reading my review.
