Are you ready for your next magical adventure?

Okay, so I’m in trouble. Big trouble. I’m broke. Worse, my boyfriend of five years just dumped me.

What do I do? I move in with my three eccentric aunts in their family home, Davenport House. Sounds exciting, only this massive farmhouse likes to eat men.

If I were a regular human, I would have run out screaming like a banshee. As a witch—I do absolutely nothing. Hey, maybe they deserved it?

I’m back in Hollow Cove, the flamboyant paranormal community, where nymphs, werewolves, trolls, shifters, witches, and other paranormals live comfortable lives away from prying human eyes. As I settle into my new life, I decide to accept my aunts’ proposal and join the family business—the business of protecting our town and killing anything that would want to harm it.

But I’ve been away from the paranormal world for quite some time, and my magical abilities are a little bit rusty. Heck, they’re practically invisible.

Things soon spiral down the crapper when people in our community start dropping like flies. And when demons start showing up in Hollow Cove, it’s up to me to take care of them. Permanently.

This is going to be awesome. I just know it.

Get ready for this heart-pounding and laugh-out-loud magical adventure!

If you like fast-paced urban fantasy with a mix of witch cozy mystery, then you’ll love Shadow Witch.

Don’t miss out on this fun witchy series. If you enjoy witch books with humor and kick-butt heroines, you won’t want to miss The Witches of Hollow Cove series.

Shadow Witch is book one in the Witches of Hollow Cove sereis by Kim Richardson and narrated by Devon Sorvari.

It’s a decent start to the sereis. We are introduced to the town of Hollow Cove, its people and the Davenport family.

Our lead, Tessa is a very stubborn and determined women. When her Aunts work their magic in getting her involved in protecting the town, she learns more than she expected and finds her places in Hollow Cove.

The mystery of who is letting demons into the town and destroying the words keeps you guessing. Will Tessa save the town or will the town and its inhabitants be destroyed?

I very much enjoyed the vampire. He weeds his way into being Tessa’s friend and helping her out as she try’s to solve the mystery and keep the town safe.

The romantic interest, Chief of Police Marcus, has a chip on his shoulder. So, him and Tessa get off on the wrong foot. He wants her gone and off the case and he does everything to make that happen. Will they mend fences or not?

The character development is well done. Their is suspense, action, and mystery.

Audio: Devon Sorvari did a wonderful job with all the voices. I very much enjoyed each characters unique voice. It fit their personality and supernatural. The characters stand out as individuals and I like that. Sorvari kept the story going and pulled out the mystery and magic.

Shadow Witch was a nice listen and a wonderful paranormal magical cozy mystery. I’m looking forward to listening on in the Witches of Hollow Cover series and seeing what develops next.

  1. Sounds like the vampire was nicer to her than the sheriff. But, a rough start can lead to a great romance. Interesting mystery to it and sounds like a solid series start.

  2. Shadow Witch sounds like a great start to a series that I would enjoy reading or listening to, thank you for your review of the story
