Taste of Home 5 ingredient Cookbook is perfect for big or small families that are always on the go.
I’m always on the lookout for a recipe that is quick and simple (not too many ingredients). That is why my family signed up for HelloFresh, but with food costs going up I am looking for ways to save, so I keep an eye out for those quick easy recipes to make lunch or dinner.
All the recipes are from different home cooks around the US. What made me pick up this cookbook is the title “5 ingredient.” Who wouldn’t want to cook with 5 ingredients or less?! I’m not big on cooking, so anytime I can make something tasty with less I’m happy. It is full of processed foods, but you could substitute with fresh. I tried out a few of the recipes and they were a hit. One of the recipes we did was the Black Bean and Beef Tostadas on pg. 85. Yummy!
The library was the perfect place to give this cookbook a try. Nowadays most recipes you can find online, but sometimes you want an actual book.

5 or less ingredients sounds perfect. And especially if there aren’t a lot of cooking steps too. Thanks for sharing this one!

You are welcome. It’s only 3 of us in the house and anything to cuts my cooking time I like to check out. Thanks for visiting Lisa.
I’ve enjoyed recipes from Taste of Home in years past. I had a subscription to their Quick meals magazine for a while. Good point about borrowing them from the library to try them out.
I like that my library has a lot of cookbooks, so I go their to check them out. Great way to try the cookbooks. WOW a magazine. That’s old school. ^_^ I remember those days getting magazines. Thanks for visiting!
We would have to be careful because the processed foods often contain gluten.
Ya, this is not a gluten recipe book. This is my first cookbook review. Thanks for visiting the blog.
