It should have been a one-night stand.

I never intended to seduce Taushen, but things happened. I don't dwell on the past and while it was great, I'm not looking for a relationship. Of course, try telling that to Taushen. The big blue alien's in love after one night, and it's making things darn awkward. We've got bigger problems than whether or not I'm his woman, like the ‘cargo’ of the space ship that landed here.

But Taushen's not giving up. He thinks I'm his mate.

And he'll do anything to keep me.

Barbarian’s Tease is book fifteen in the Ice Planet Barbarians series by Ruby Dixon.

I like this series and am invested in the characters. The world is vast and continues to grow. In this installment we see where the spin-off series, Icehome, takes place.

Ruby Dixon has a knack of twisting and turning her stories so they never get repetitive.

I loved our hero Taushen. He was such a fun character in previous books, always jovial and light hearted, but as more and more Sa’Khui hook up with mates he has gotten sad and sullen. Brooke is not my favorite. Because she uses her looks to get males to do what she wants. She’s a flirt and very open about it.

I was upset with Brooke on how she treated Taushen after the kidnapping. He doesn’t know what drugs are, so what happened wasn’t his fault. Then he threw a tantrum. Not my favorite moment with Taushen. Now we know how and why Brooke and Taushen got together.

It was interesting in the addition of more people at the end and I’m intrigued to see where the series goes from here.

Barbarian’s Tease was another enjoyable read. I look forward to continuing on.
