Welcome To June’s Monthly Wrap Up
As you read this we’re on vacation as a family back East to my home town to spend time with Grandparents.
Well I hope everyone is well! It has been since Feb. that I’ve updated you on what is going on. I got into a reading slump from Feb. to end of May. When June hit I dived into a bunch of audiobooks since June is Audiobook Month. It’s a great time to promote the library and since my boys, (hubby & son), where on a three week trip in Europe I had the house to myself and could get a lot listening in uninterrupted. It was so nice to have the house to myself at least for the first week, but then it was a bit to quiet.
March my son finished up tennis. We made a bunch of doctor and dentist appointments that got completed. We also meet with an Orthodontist and my soon will be getting Expander Braces soon. It’s a two part thing that will take a few years to complete and more Teeth X-Rays later on. Turns out he is missing 5 adult teeth and still has some baby teeth that haven’t come out. We’re hoping all goes well and we can help him with the plan our Orthodontist came up with.
My son finished off 7th Grade strong. It started off rocky, but got better as the year went along. He kept his grades up and complete all homework. Plus he read several books. ^_^ Once school ended he went off with his Dad to Europe and they visited Amsterdam, Denmark, Stockholm, Oslo, Brussels, Paris, & Le Mane. All of this was done by train. They visited several art museums and took in the scenery.

Oh, the braces! I remember those trips to the orthodontist. Yay for a fun trip for son and dad and that his school year ended strong. Nice that you had some quiet time to delve back into books.
Hopefully July will be just as great, Angela!
Oh yes, we’re nervous about the braces, but it must be done. We start the process in July once we’re back from our vacation. The boys had a lot of fun in Europe and it was very nice to get audiobook listens in. Thanks Sophia for visiting!
fun trips
The boys had fun. Thanks for visiting!
Thanks for the info
Rochelle thanks for stopping bye.
Thank you for this great post
Terry, thanks for checking out the Monthly post. Have a great day!
The slump is over! At least in June. How fun for your boys. I hope they had a great time. We are heading out tomorrow for my family’s home on a lake!
Hi Jen,
It was great to listen to so many audiobooks in June and try out some new series. I’m glad I got out of the slump. That’s great you’re off to the lake. We’re at my parents lake house for a week and I love it. The water is so warm right now. As always it’s so nice to have you visit and chat.
Too bad you didn’t get to go on the trip too. It looks like a lot of fun! But yay for lots of reading time! Glad you were able to get back into the reading. 7th grade is a big year for a lot of students, glad it ended up on the good side by the end of the year. Hope we all have a great July!

I did and then I didn’t want to go. Boarding a dog is expensive and it would have been three weeks of that. I also preferer a more laidback trip. The boys where going places everyday and getting on trains daily to travel to the next stop. It would have been nice, but I’m glad I stayed home. Gave me much need free time!
Have a wonderful July and thank you Lisa for visiting and chatting with me.
What a great trip and I’d want to go but also I wouldn’t leave Lulu so did Panda keep you company? Great reading! Nice you are able to travel so much.
Panda did stay home with me while the boys where gallivanting around Europe. We did a lot of walking and took longer walks; which in turn gave me more audiobook listen time. It’s nice we get to travel this summer and experience different cultures and activities. As always Anne it’s a pleasure having you visit.
