From the New York Times #1 bestselling author, Ilona Andrews, comes a fun and action-packed new adventure in the Innkeeper Chronicles! We invite you to relax, enjoy yourself, and above all, remember the one rule all visitors must obey: the humans must never know.
Life is busier than ever for Innkeeper, Dina DeMille and Sean Evans. But it’s about to get even more chaotic when Sean's werewolf mentor is kidnapped. To find him, they must host an intergalactic spouse-search for one of the most powerful rulers in the Galaxy. Dina is never one to back down from a challenge. That is, if she can manage her temperamental Red Cleaver chef; the consequences of her favorite Galactic ex-tyrant's dark history; the tangled politics of an interstellar nation, and oh, yes, keep the wedding candidates from a dozen alien species from killing each other. Not to mention the Costco lady.
They say love is a battlefield; but Dina and Sean are determined to limit the casualties!
Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

I’m taking part in the 2025 Read-Along for The Edge series & Innkeeper Chronicles by Ilona Andrews hosted by Books of My Heart.
I’ve listened to the Innkeeper Chronicles many times. This is my second time listening to the Graphic Audio for Sweep of the Heart. The GA brings the story to life and I feel like I’m in the world. I still had the same feelings as the first time. The middle is long and filler. My favorite parts are the beginning and ending. The full cast, sound effects, and cinematic music are marvelous. This series is well worth reading/listening to.

Original Review(s) below:
2024 Graphic Audio: I loved all the special effects. The story still drags. It starts off great then eh and back to great. Not a fan of the wife selection. That is where the story drags. Other then that the GA is a fun listen.
*****
Original 2022 Sweep of the Heart is book five in the Innkeeper Chronicles by Ilona Andrews.
Sweep of the Heart takes us back to Diana’s Inn. We finally get to learn more about Caldayan, her past and her family. WOW it was so great to learn more about Caldayan. We also get a few answers as to what happened to Diana’s parents inn, but there are so many more questions. I loved seeing Shan work so well with Diana. They are a power couple. And, last the artwork is superb.
This time we have a mate selection taking part in the Inn. I enjoyed the mate selection; though I’m not a fan of the Bachelorette or Bachelor TV shows, so this type of thing isn’t my thing, but Andrews made this one exciting and interesting adding intrigue and great fantasy world building.
The one thing I’m not a fan of is the recap at the begging of each chapter. It’s ok on the blog for the weekly thing to refresh people’s minds, but for the finished published version it didn’t work for me. I could have not read that part, but really when you have a book you read it all.
As always I love returning to the Innkeeper World. The end was by far the best and I can’t wait for the next installment. The Andrews team created another spectator novel in the Innkeeper Chronicles.
Rated: 4 Stars
2023 Audio: The audiobook is very well done. I enjoyed!

I absolutely loved this GraphicAudio adaptation! The full cast, music, and sound effects truly bring Gertrude Hunt to life, and I can’t imagine experiencing the story any other way.
I agree that the ‘Bachelor’-style plot for the spouse-search was a bit of a mixed bag – an interesting concept, but it did drag in the middle parts with some of the descriptions. The story picked up significantly towards the end, and the final sequence was fantastic.
The highlight for me was definitely learning more about Lady Caldenia’s past; that was a great bit of world-building. The only minor issue for me was the change in Sean’s voice actor, which was a little jarring at first, but the new actor still did a great job.
This sounds like a really good read.
Thanks for visiting.
Agree, agree, agree. Although I’ve not listened to the GA edition, yet. I just re-read it via the unabridged audio, so next I’ll do GA. I didn’t mind some of the issues I had with the ebook, but it definitely could have been edited down. Still love this series and we NEED the next book!!
Agree it could have been edited down. It’s still enjoyable, but long and felt like two stories in one. Thanks for visiting!
I always felt like this was two stories with the Wilmosh and the corrupt Ad Hal part and the Wife Selection in the middle. I can’t wait to see what happens next after the end reveals of this one.
I agree. It does feel like two stories in one. I’m looking forward on the next installment.
Fantastic review. Sounds like a captivating story.
Andrews know how to write and produce amazing stories. I love this series and enjoyed this read-along. Thanks for visiting!
Thanks so much for reading with us and sharing your reviews! I love this. It was my first time with the GA. You’re a hard grader. I enjoyed the middle learning about the different species more than you did.
Hehehe 😊 The more I listen the middle isn’t so bad. For some reason this last one just felt like it dragged on. Didn’t have the umph like the previous titles. Do like that we got to learn more about Caldayan and that what she did was to save her family. Thanks for visiting. Looking forward to the chat.
I’m a little behind so I’m starting this one today and I’m planning on being at the chat this Sunday! Finally after so many weeks missing out! I do the traditional audios. I’m not sold on the graphic audio just yet.
The standard audiobooks are really good too. I like both the GA and audio. Enjoy!
See you at the chat. Hopefully! ^_^
This is one of my favorite series. While I listened on standard audio, the special effects sound awesome.
This is one of my favorite series too. The standard audio’s are really good too. I like both GA and audio. Thanks for checking out my review and visiting!
