Book Blogger Hop: Public Libraries

Welcome to the Book Blogger Hop hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer.  The hop takes place weekly, starting on a Friday and concluding the following Thursday.  Each week features a specific prompt that poses a book-related question for participants to address.  The primary aim of the blog hop is to facilitate connections among bloggers, encouraging them to follow one another, explore new book titles, and increase their audience.  To check out 2025 Prompts: click here.

This weeks prompt Nov. 21st – How many public libraries are in your area? Are they easy to get to?  (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Review)

My Answer: There are 13 public libraries in the San Mateo County. My town has 1 public library with a few Little Free Library’s around town.  All the libraries in my County partner with each other, so on my my Libby app it’s called Peninsula Library System.  I can place holds from any of the libraries that are partnered with the system and if it’s a physical book they transferer it to my local library for me to pick up.  It’s nice they do this and it’s all free.

I’d love to hear from you!

  1. I’m lucky enough to have a country library branch in my town, too. I love using the library more lately than I have in years thanks to #LibraryLoveChallenge. 🙂

  2. My local library is ten minutes away from where I am. There are other libraries but they’re further out. I often often order tapes, once in a while I take out a book because I practically have a library of my own!

  3. In NH, each town has its own libraries, some of the bigger cities may have more than one. You can only get a loan from your own library, but there is inter-library loans.
