Book Blogger Hop: My “Forever” TBR List

Welcome to another week of the Book Blogger Hop, hosted by the wonderful Coffee Addicted Writer.  If you’re new here, this weekly event kicks off every Friday and runs through the following Thursday.  It’s all about bringing our community together through a fun, bookish prompt.  It’s a fantastic way to discover new titles, meet fellow bibliophiles, and grow your own circle of readers!  Check out the 2026 Prompts to see what else is in store for the year!

This weeks prompt May 1st – Is there a book you’ve been meaning to read forever but haven’t gotten to yet?

My Answer: As a dedicated mood reader, my TBR is essentially a “never-ending story.” I’m frequently guilty of buying a book for its beautiful cover and then letting it decorate my shelf while I hunt for my next read.

My reading habits changed significantly when I started Blogging; review commitments often took priority, leaving my personal 2012 Goodreads backlog waiting in the wings. Even though I’ve moved on from some of my older interests, I like keeping them there for “someday.”

A major standout that I’ve meant to read since release day is Winter Lost by Patricia Briggs—it’s still waiting for me, but I know I’ll get to it eventually!

I’d love to hear your thoughts! Are there any genres that still make you feel a bit self-conscious? Leave a comment below and let’s chat!
