Happy Wednesday, book friends! ☕✨
Welcome back to another WWW Wednesday—the ultimate mid-week check-in originally created by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and wonderfully revived by Taking on a World of Words. Grab your favorite drink and let’s dive right into exactly what’s on my shelves (and in my earbuds) this week! 📚👇

What are you currently reading/listening?

On Sunday, I dove into A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn! I’m excited because this title pulls double duty for my reading goals this month. It checks off the Blast From the Past “book featuring a historical setting” prompt for Beat the Backlist, and fits July’s TBR Challenge theme—Freedom!—perfectly, since it features a main character escaping a dangerous situation. After surviving a sudden assassination and kidnapping attempt at her home, amateur lepidopterist Veronica Speedwell is forced straight into a high-stakes runaway adventure.
What did you recently finish reading/listening?

For my recent listen, I finished Slaying Monsters for the Feeble by Annette Marie for the Read-Along. I’m loving the Read-Along itself, but this installment wasn’t quite my favorite. Honestly, I’m staying for the fantastic world-building, the fast-paced plot, and Zylas—our heroine Robin just didn’t do it for me this time around. Check out my full review here!
What do you think you’ll read/listen to next?

Up next, I’m planning to listen to Undertow by Willa Blackmore. I specifically picked this one to check off July’s prompt for the TBR Tackle Challenge, which requires a book that showcases water on the cover! 🌊
Your turn! What are you reading, what did you finish, and what’s next on your list? Drop a link to your post or share your titles in the comments—I’d love to see what’s on your shelves!

Well the next Read-along book is back to Tori. I’m doing Veronica Speedwell as next year’s Read-along.
Well then I might have to wait on listening to Veronica Speedwell series since it’s next years read-along. ^_^ I like Tori’s books the most. Thanks for visiting!
Oh neat! You started the Veronica Speedwell series. 🙂
I actually picked this up to fit a reading prompt, and it turned out to be a great match for July! Now I’m debating whether to keep listening or hold off for the read-along next year, since Anne let us know it’s going to be the 2027 series.
