Marie doesn’t need a complication like Horse. The massive, tattooed, badass biker who shows up at her brother’s house one afternoon doesn’t agree. He wants Marie on his bike and in his bed. Now.

But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she’s not looking for a new man. Especially one like Horse—she doesn’t know his real name or where he lives, she’s ninety percent certain he’s a criminal and that the “business” he talks with her brother isn’t website design. She needs him out of her life, which would be a snap if he’d just stop giving her mind-blowing orgasms.

Horse is part of the Reapers Motorcycle Club, and when he wants something, he takes it. What he wants is Marie, but she’s not interested in becoming “property of”.

Then her brother steals from the club. Marie can save him by giving Horse what he wants—at home, in public, on his bike… If she’s a very, very good girl, she’ll get lots more of those orgasms only he can offer, and he’ll let her brother live.
Maybe.

Warning: Some abuse, almost rape, crude language

Reaper’s Property is book one in Joanna Wylde Reapers MC. I’m not a contemporary reader, so I was not sure what to make of this. It delivers a very candid look into the world of motorcycle clubs. They live by their own rules and loyal ties that they defend at any cost.

Reaper’s Property is delivered in multiple points of view which I enjoyed. It adds a layer of understanding to the story and helps us connect to the emotions and feelings of each character. We have a motorcycle club, some crud language, explicit sex, their a law unto themselves and they have their own views on women. I will state from the state that I can see that some people will have a problem with the plot and how the hero goes about getting his women. I will remind you all this is a story written for our entertainment and pleasure.

Marie: I was a little frustrated with Marie through the whole book (she’s dumb), but also sassy, feisty and loyal to thous she loves. Marie does not seam like the type to complement a biker and really she did not complement Horse. I also got frustrated when she did not try very hard to understand Horse’s world. He’s trying to explain everything to her and what does she do criticize him and through it back in his face. I half/half liked Marie as a character, but she has her moments that frustrated me.

Horse: I liked to a certain extent. He’s one you want to root for as a reader even though he is a screwed-up person, but most people are screwed-up and have baggage. What he did was not cool, but we get to see his side of it and are able to understand where his thought process is at. He is a good guy in this bad-ass world. He has served his country, cares about family, and is faithful to his old lady. He always takes care of what is his even when the stakes are high.

Reaper’s Property starts full throttle and delivers one hell of an intense ride until the last page. If your looking for a story with drama and total alpha biker badness, you will love this. I can’t wait to read the next MC book. I am enjoy the world, colorful language and oh so hot sexy Reapers.

  1. I need to go back to this one. I read book two and enjoyed it quite a bit but it was kinda tame compared to other MC’s I’d read. But I’d heard book one was way more intense and it so sounds that way. Book two was with a different publisher I believe. Glad you enjoyed it 🙂 I’m really looking forward to seeing Horse. He showed up a bit in book 2 and had me curious 🙂
