He had love and passion to give, but her experience with love equaled heartache.

~ 4.5 Dog Day Stars ~

Dog Days of Summer is book one in Rolling Thunder series by P.J. Fiala. We get mature characters, romance, and steamy love scenes.

Joci, mother to Gunner, loves riding free on her motorcycle. She does not trust easily with her past experiences with men and so it takes time and commitment to get her to open up and love again.

Jeremiah Sheppard (Dog), owner of Rolling Thunder Motorcycles, and father to twin boys. He has fought for his country, raised his son’s with his family’s help, but has not found that one special women yet.

The world and characters felt real and authentic, with the Veterans Day ride as well as having an older more mature couple with life experiences be our leads. The writing is well done and flows smoothly.

I did a spotlight for this book on my blog and was suppressed to receive a gift copy from Ms. Fiala. I devoured this book in no time at all, probably because I could not put it down. I was pulled in and enjoyed this book more then I ever expected too. I liked how the author brought Joci and Dog together. It was not a quick thing, but built up over time. The family relationships are heartwarming and sweet. The sex is oh so steamy, light the sheets on fire, hawt and you can feel the love is true. These two fight, love and try to build a life together.

Dog Days of Summer was a great read! I enjoyed the storyline, writing, and I can’t wait to read more in the Rolling Thunder series. Ms. Fiala brought realism to this story that I truly enjoyed. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves mature characters and steamy love scenes.
