Celia Wird and her three sisters are just like other 20-something girls—with one tiny exception: they're products of a backfired curse that has given each of them unique powers that make them, well, weird…...

Celia’s a girl in trouble. Her heart is bound to Aric, but he is a pureblood were who must deny her or risk condemning his species to extinction. And that’s just her love life. She’s also been called to take down a group of demon terrorists looking to overthrow the paranormal world. (No pressure.)

In order to bring them down, Celia must ally herself to Misha, the master vampire who has made no secret of his desire for her. And if that weren’t enough misfortune for one girl, a clairvoyant’s prediction could destroy Celia and Aric’s love for good. The only way to protect the world from unbridled supernatural terrorism is for Celia to bind herself to her destined mate. And that doesn’t appear to be Aric….

~ 4 Cursed Stars ~

Cursed by Destiny is book three in the Weird Girls series by Cecy Robson and we get no shortage of Ms. Robson usually action packed heart wrenching emotional read.

Ms. Robson has a way with bring out the action and heart stoping moments that make her books both overwhelmingly enjoyable and so emotional that I have to be in the wright state of mind before reading. Good god almighty I was excited and anxious to read Cursed By Destiny, though I had this book on my doorstep the day it came out I could not bring myself to read it write away. I was still so torn from the last book. As I am writing this I’m still in emotional overload and trying to digest how Celia can still stand and fight after all the emotional turmoil she has been dealt.

I enjoyed reading Cursed by Destiny , especially the action which there is no shortage that keeps the reader engrossed and the story going. I also enjoyed the plot twists. I saw one of them coming, but not the other and so I got a surprise, but their are a few things that have started to get to me with this sereis. One is the boyfriends to Celia’s sisters (they are werewolves) keep talking about Aric and how torn up he is, but they don’t seam to see that these comments affect Celia and make it harder for her to move on. I am frustrated that Celia has not gotten her HEA. I’m ready for her and Aric to stand together and show everyone that they are a power couple. As for the love triangle I’m not a fan of any triangles in any books I read. We have Misha who wants Celia, but he parades so many women around in front of her. No No Misha not a way to a women’s heart. Then we have Aric who is Celia’s mate but we all know whats going on in this department. Then to add more complicate to things a new player comes into town, a lion who is “destined” to be the father of Celia’s babies or is he?? As you can tell their is never a dull moment in Cursed by Destiny

The Weird Girls are an adventures read, full of magic, action, and emotions that keep you coming back for more. I am anxiously awaiting A Cursed Bloodline. If you enjoy Urban Fantasy with a bit of romance with lots of action and heart stoping moments then I recommend giving the Weird Girls a try.

  1. They are very emotional! (Tissues Highly Recommended when reading) I’m starting to get tired of not getting an HEA. I still am enjoying them, but all the emotional and trials that keep happen are getting to me. Though I do still recommend reading the series. I love the sisters they are just so cool and its unique on their ability/curse.
