She's being pursued by everyone, in more ways than one.

Even in an exotic world of humans, jaguars, and tantalizing creatures who shift between the two, Maya Anderson stands out from the crowd. Interest from human suitors is bad enough, but when male shifters give chase, the real trouble starts.

Who's the hunter and who's the prey?

Investigating the black marketing trade of exotic animals keeps Wade Patterson more than busy. When he and Maya both get entangled in a steamy jungle mission, it becomes impossible to tell who is being hunted or who the hunters are. Wade is desperate to survive this deadly game of cat and mouse. But it's Maya's piercing eyes that keep him awake at night.

Also in this series: Savage Hunger, Jaguar Hunt, Jaguar Pride, A Very Jaguar Christmas

– 4 Jaguar Fever Stars –

Jaguar Fever is book two in the Heart of the Jaguar series by Terry Spear. I adore Ms. Spear, love her Heart of the Wolf series and will always re-read one of her works. This is a re-read and I enjoyed it again. We get a sweet romance and a little action.

Wade is an alpha, sexy, dominate and smart. He is protective and territorial of what he deems his. He has a great relationship with his brother David, providing the perfect amount of family ties, sarcasm and humor.

Maya I liked her in Savage Hunger. She is/was determined to see her brother hooked up, so she could start looking for a mate of her own. She is strong and a dominate heroine, however she makes a few decisions you want to smack her for.

I love that we get such great family dynamics with Conoor and Kat returning as well as the new characters being added. I like the easy camaraderie and banter between them all and how they develop and grow as the story progresses. The relationship is a quick blooming one, since both where introduced in book one Savage Hunger , so their semi-relationship is carried over into this one. I like that we get to learn more about the Jaguar shifter world too.

These books are the perfect reads for me, especially when I don’t have a lot of time on my hands or need to de-veg from an awful or tough read. Ms. Spears knows how to create a fun world full of sexy interesting shifters with the right amount of suspense, action, and romance.

About Terry Spear

USA TODAY bestselling, and award-winning author and creator of award-winning teddy bears who have found homes all over the world including Australia, Switzerland, China, and Russia, and a retired officer of the US Army Reserves, I love to plant trees and flowers and if I could, I’d turn all the deserts green. Time travels are my favorite read, although I love to read most anything, and the Bourne series, Romancing the Stone, Sixth Sense, Legend, The Princess Bride, Stardust, Inkheart, LOTR, and tons of other movies are my favorites.

I love to research, to make urban fantasy worlds real, to bring a little of the paranormal into our world. Even in “Winning the Highlander’s Heart” the heroine feels she is cursed and she has second sight. But I try to do it in a way that feels real, and not fantasized. 🙂

  1. This one sounds nice, I heard great things about this author but I haven’t tried any of her books. I should though. thanks for the review!

    1. You are welcome Melliane. I enjoy Ms. Spear’s shifter books. I especially love her Heart of the Wolf series. I think I read book three or four first in the wolf series, then went back to the begging. Book one was not my favorite, but it got better after that. I hope you get a chance to try her out!
