While Merit didn’t choose to become a vampire or Sentinel of Cadogan House, she vowed to fight for her House and its Master, and she’s managed to forge strong alliances with powerful supernaturals across Chicago. But even though Merit has had wild adventures, this may be her deadliest yet...

A killer is stalking Chicago, preying on humans and leaving his victims with magical souvenirs. The CPD hasn’t been able to track the assailant, and as the body count rises, the city is running out of options. Vampires and humans aren’t on great terms, but murder makes for strange bedfellows. Can Merit find the killer before she becomes a target?

~ 4 Blood Game Stars ~

Blood Games is book ten in the Chicagoland Vampires series by Chloe Neill. CNeill pulls out all vampire fun in this non-stop, fast-paced, action-packed adventure, with that witty fun dialogue we have come to know and love in this series.

We get two main plots. A human Tarot murder mystery and Ethan’s GP candidacy. As all things go in this series things start off quiet, but they soon turn into mayhem. As we have learned something is bound to happen when you live as long as the supernatural’s do.

Ethan and Merit, where center stage with Ethan running for the GP spot and Merit looking for a murderer. CNeill through in a bombshell in regards to the GP. They end up doing nominations and testing said nominees in several areas. Ethan puts up a good fight! Does he win? Well you will have to read to find out. As for Ethan, I go back and forth on how I feel about him. I am a little tired of him hiding things from Merit, whom he wants to spend his eternal life with. It got old fast! Merit, well I did not like her in the first few books, but she has warmed up too me. She shows such determination and dedication in her life and protecting her House.

I love the witty dialogue that comes with these books. It’s so much fun to read the banter. The Con Convention was just too much fun. I also love how the author describes the battle and sparing scenes as being compared to a ballet dancer, flowing with such grace and easy. As for that ending! Well someone is playing a very dangerous game, but Ethan and Merit I feel will play it even better. I am looking forward to the next installment.

Blood Games is a fast-paced, non-stop, action-packed adventure with some heartfelt moments, and developments that will RATTLE up the Chicagoland Vampires WORLD.
