Mercy Thompson has been hailed as “a heroine who...always remains true to herself” (Library Journal). Now she’s back, and she’ll soon discover that when the fae stalk the human world, it’s the children who suffer...

Tensions between the fae and humans are coming to a head. And when coyote shapeshifter Mercy and her Alpha werewolf mate, Adam, are called upon to stop a rampaging troll, they find themselves with something that could be used to make the fae back down and forestall out-and-out war: a human child stolen long ago by the fae.

Defying the most powerful werewolf in the country, the humans, and the fae, Mercy, Adam, and their pack choose to protect the boy no matter what the cost. But who will protect them from a boy who is fire touched?

I just love coming back to this world and getting back into Mercy’s head. I was captured from the first word. There where some great funny lines and so much to love and savor in this installment.

Mercy and Adam have a great relationship and you can see that in the pages. They work well together and their relationship is never stale. It is ever changing as is the world around them. Adam finally puts down the law with his pack about Mercy. I would have liked this done sooner, but it was great to see him set them straight.

The Hampton Pack ends up dealing with some major changes and challenges in this installment. I’m very intrigued with the direction things are going, the new & old characters that pop-up, the world as a whole, and how everything was resolved. It was masterful done.

Fire Touched was a treat for this fan. Their was never a dull moment. The series continues to grow and get better with each book. Mercy is becoming stronger, the pack is evolving, and the world continues to build. Fire Touched is packed full with non-stop excitement.

If you enjoy shifters, pack polities, a vast world, unique characters, and a series that will never get dull, then you need to try the Mercy Thompson series. If your a fan then don’t wait to read Fire Touched. It’s not to be missed!

Patricia is the #1 New York Times best selling author of the Mercy Thompson series and has written twenty four novels to date; she is currently writing novel number twenty five. She has short stories in several anthologies, as well as a series of comic books and graphic novels based on her Mercy Thompson and Alpha and Omega series. Patty began her career writing traditional high fantasy novels in 1993, and shifted gears in 2006 to write urban fantasy. The series has continued to grow in popularity with the release of each book. Patty also writes the Alpha and Omega series, which are set in the same world as the Mercy Thompson novels; what began as a novella expanded into a full new series, all of which debuted on the NY Times bestsellers list as well.

  1. I love the covers for this series, they are so pretty! I have the first book on my wishlist, but still haven’t bought a copy. I do think I might enjoy this series. Glad to hear you enjoyed this one 🙂

    1. Me too. They just grab me and each one feels like it goes with the book. This is one of my favorite series. I just love Mercy and then all the secondary characters add to the adventure. The world building is great too. What can I say I LOVE this series. Hope you get a chance to try it out. You should look at your local library and see if they have a copy, most library’s do.

    1. Me too. The little sneak peak I read of Silence Fallen left me wanting the book. Now! Now! Now! Thank’s for stoping by. ^_^
