In the #1 New York Times bestselling Mercy Thompson novels, the coyote shapeshifter has found her voice in the werewolf pack. But when Mercy’s bond with the pack—and her mate—is broken, she’ll learn what it truly means to be alone...
Attacked and abducted in her home territory, Mercy finds herself in the clutches of the most powerful vampire in the world, taken as a weapon to use against alpha werewolf Adam and the ruler of the Tri-Cities vampires. In coyote form, Mercy escapes—only to find herself without money, without clothing, and alone in the heart of Europe...
Unable to contact Adam and the rest of the pack, Mercy has allies to find and enemies to fight, and she needs to figure out which is which. Ancient powers stir, and Mercy must be her agile best to avoid causing a war between vampires and werewolves, and between werewolves and werewolves. And in the heart of the ancient city of Prague, old ghosts rise...

This series needs to be read in order.
I love the Mercy Thompson series. I had a delightful time reading Silence Fallen that I devoured this book and probably would have finished it in one day if I didn’t have to sleep and be an Adult!
Silence Fallen takes us back to a time when Mercy was a one-women show. She still has all her allies, but all their power and might can’t help her when she’s over seas. And, so Mercy is forced to do what she does best. Survive.
Even with Mercy on her own we still get to see Hamptons point of view and few of the other characters as well. Honey, Stefan, Elizabeth, Marsilia and in addition we get to meet some new characters, like the European seethes and Vltava pack, plus a guest appearance from Matt Smith-keep an eye on him!
It was fun visiting Europe and meeting The Lord of the Night. Oh my! He’s scary! I also liked meeting a new wolf pack. We get to see that things run differently in Europe then they do in the States. I liked all the different interconnected plot threads and how they played out. I also enjoyed all the many different views, that make it all feel like the characters are working independently; however as things build to the finish line you see the bigger picture.
The last thing I’ll say about Silence Fallen is I liked how it expands upon Mercy’s Coyote lineage and her aptitude with the dead. She’s mostly ignored the Ghosts that have shown up, until now.
Silence Fallen was an impressive and magnificent read. I can’t wait to read it again, nor can I wait for the next installment.

Challenge (2018): Library Love
Audio April 2020: This is the first time I’ve listened to the audio for Silence Fallen. Lorelei King and George Newbern both did fabulous jobs. I love King’s narration as for Newbern this was my first time with him and I liked the male voices he did. It was so much fun getting Adam’s POV. I wish we had more Adam POV’s in the series. I just love seeing his side of things. As always this series is a favorite and the audio had me sucked in. I highly recommend reading or listening.

Awesome review angela!! I haven’t read this series, but it sounds good! Shared on all my socials!!
Thank you Kathy for visiting and sharing. If you enjoy Urban Fantasy and like a strong female lead who can stand on her own well then you will enjoy the Mercy Thompson series. It’s one of my favorites and only 1 or 2 series I pre-order books in. ^_^
This is (like so many others) a series I wish I had started because so many of my friends love it. Great review Angela love the part about not a one sitting read because you need to be an adult. I hear you!
With the fantastic review i was kind of shocked it wasn’t a 5 star I guess you don’t give them out much. Thanks for sharing
I can’t remember why I didn’t put this at 5 stars. Ya, I don’t give them out as much as I use too. I do love this series and have and will again read or listen to the books. It’s a fun!! I kinda understand about wishing you started a series sooner because your friends like… I’ve had that feeling. I hope you do enjoy the Mercy Thompson series when and if you do start to read them. I’ve had a lot of fun with Mercy and The Pack. ^_^
I enjoyed getting Adam’s POV… It was a new perspective and a chance to dig into him. I agree I don’t think the story would have worked without it it. Thank’s for stopping in. ^_^
Good review! I love this series so much. It was great to have this focus on Mercy but also the other perspectives of other characters. Usually we get mostly Mercy. Anne – Books of My Heart
I agree with all you said.
I enjoyed this book as well. Although, i’m not surprised that I did. I can’t imagine hiding in a bus for that long a way. I look forward to reading the next. It is just the wait time in between that sucks.
I love this series. I’m working on my paperback collection and audio’s. I listened to the series and loved it so much as well as owning the eCopies. I can’t wait for the next. I know the wait time is long, but I’m happy that it’s only a year between books for the series and not longer. She needs that time to do justice to the Mercy and The Pack. ^_^
I enjoyed this book too. I don’t know that I want a ton from Adam’s POV a lot, but this story wouldn’t have worked without, so it worked for me. Great review.
