How insane is it to marry an alien as a publicity stunt?

I’m Sunny Weathers. You probably recognize me from my reality show, Sunny Weathers’ Excellent Adventures. I’ve had to perform a lot of crazy stunts in my career, but this one takes the cake! The producers are sending me to another planet to become an alien’s mail order bride. I’m not allowed to tell anybody it’s a gimmick, and as soon my contract is up, I’ll be leaving planet Dakon. Unfortunately, I hadn’t counted on my attraction to Mr. Tall, “Darq,” and Handsome…

I’m Darq. The moment I laid eyes on the female with pretty mud-colored hair and a sunny smile, I knew she was mine. Competition for females is fierce, and I was determined to claim a mate from the latest shipment from Earth, so I broke the rules. If anyone finds out, my own brother would banish me to the icy wilderness, and I’d lose my mate. I will do anything to keep her…

Alien Attraction is a stand-alone read in the Alien Mate series.

Alien Attraction is book two of the Alien Mate series by Cara Bristol. This novel is fast, entertaining, and light. The premise of this series is along the lines of an alien mail order bride service.

I’ve been on an alien kick and devoured this book and all the books in the Alien Mate series one after the other. This one I read in a day.

Alien Attraction can be read out of order or as a standalone, but it’s better if read in order. The book is available on its own or in a box set; which features all the books in the Alien Mate series.

We meet, Torq and his brother Darq, in the first book, Alien Mate, and now it’s Darq’s turn to get a sassy earth women.

I wasn’t too sure going into this at first on the set up. I don’t care for characters to build a relationship on lies. Yet, I was soon engrossed and rooting for our hero and heroine. Their circumstances were complicated and you know that their truths will come out and when it does who knows what will happen. The conflict in the story added to my enjoyment and when things blew up our couple was in the right place in their relationship.

Sunny and Darq’s romance developed nicely. They took the slower route in developing and getting to know each other better; before acting on their attraction.

Like with book one, there is some good humored moments and some fireworks. It was also nice to get a peek in with Torq and Star and a few others.

Alien Attraction is an easy and fast sci-fi romance with action, engaging characters, and a bit of steam.

    1. I had fun with the four books in this series. I grabbed then when they were free and just dived into them this year. It was Melanie who recommended this series. I saw her reviews and then Sophia and Robin’s. Thank’s for visiting!
