Creeping it Real
by Albany Walker

Do dead men tell tales?

Before the ink is dry on my last case, I get pulled onto another, and away from what could be a new beginning with the guys.

The murder of a high-profile coven leader is being kept a secret, only his inner circle knows. Problem is, they just may be the reason he ended up with a femur through his heart. Add some necromancy into the mix and things are getting down right intriguing dangerous.

On top of the case, there’s also my very tricky love life that has a little too much in common with the dead man for my liking. I just hope our story doesn’t end with a bloody, broken heart like his did.

Bones are piling up, just like suspects. We need to solve this case before the death magic can target anyone else.

Creeping it Real is the second book in the Magical Bureau of Investigation series. This is a slow burn RH or why choose novel with adult situations.

Creeping it Real is book two in the Magical Bureau of Investigation Series by Albany Walker.

Unfortunately nothing changes from book 1 to book 2.

The reverse harem couple still don’t sit down and have a deep conversation like they need too. When they do talk it boils down too the guys picking each other instead of her, yet they keep saying how precious she is and how much they love her yada yada, but in the end they never showed her that she is first, that she is precious, and that they would choose her. If I was her I’d close the door and forget them all.

The MBI case Frankie is working on is ok. It helps that Percy (Frankie’s familiar) has a running commentary that keeps the story flowing.

Creeping it Real in the end was not the book for me. If the blurb intrigues you, I urge you to give it a shot. Just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t for you.

Perfectly Wicked
by Albany Walker

Too bad nothing is ever as it seems.

I’m back in Hill Crest, and it looks like I may have made an enemy last time I was in town.

I’m supposed to lie low, but when a long-time friend of dad comes looking for help to find his missing wife, I have a very hard time telling him no.

As if finding a missing woman wasn’t enough, I’m starting to think I might be haunted. Add in three men that want to finish what we started years ago and I’m thinking my dance card might be a little over booked.

Perfectly Wicked is the third book in the Magical Bureau of Investigation series. This is a slow burn RH or why choose novel with adult situations.

Perfectly Wicked is book three and the final book in the Magical Bureau of Investigation Series by Albany Walker.

Ah!! Again nothing happens. The mysteries and emotional drama dwindled to nothing.

The series started out with a cozy mystery with the reverse harem being secondary to the plot, but the plot and reverse harem went nowhere. The guys all say “sorry” and that’s that. Everything is forgiven from book 1 to book 3.

The author mentions things from everyones pasts in this installment and Remy’s lack of magic, but she never goes into detail. Its thrown out there and then left.

In the end I never connected to the characters or the plot. It was lackluster and never felt complete. We have the mystery solved and the everyone back together, but it was all just too eh.

Perfectly Wicked was not the book for me. If the blurb intrigues you, I urge you to give it a shot. Just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t for you.
