My name is Zoe McKinley. I have a boring life, an awful job, and a boss that throws staplers at my head. What could be worse?

How about being abducted by Aliens?

Being dragged through a mirror, naked and screaming, onto an extraterrestrial ship was bad. Finding out I had been sold to a huge alien male who looks like the Devil was worse. But learning he wanted to trade me to an intergalactic petting zoo was the worst of all!

Now I'm whizzing through the galaxy with a robot butler, a trio of nib-nibs (they're like tiny green monkeys) and one huge, muscular, and very grumpy alien. The clothing they gave me shows all my lady-bits, the food-sim makes banana cream pie that tastes like sauerkraut, and Sarden, my captor, is too hot to stay mad at, even if he is a jerk.

In fact, I think I might be falling for him.

What's a girl to do? It's all in a day's work when you've been...Abducted.

Abducted is book one in the Alien Mate Index sereis by Evangeline Anderson.

The people of Earth don’t know about aliens or that they are being evaluated to be brides.

Zoe is like any human. She doesn’t feel she’s special. She’s got a job she hates, a boss from hell, and fun is lacking in her life.

The story is told in dual POV and I enjoyed this aspect. Zoe is fun, funny, sassy and fresh. She has a penchant for finding herself in situations and needing rescuing. The situations aren’t too ridiculous. Sarden is a sweety, likable, noble, and has a heart of gold. I adored him.

What follows is a fun adventure and a nice start to the sereis. Theirs not as much sex as some of Anderson’s other work and the build-up is long before they hit the sheets. We’re treated to a lot of laughs, angst, decent world building, fun moments and hawt sex.

The only thing that nocked this down a bit is that their are a lot of different plots going on and it felt a bit much for an Alien Sci-Fi Romance.

Abducted was an enjoyable read. I’m looking forward to reading on.

  1. I think I remember this series- or maybe one like it she did. I’ll have to check.
I like that they get some build up in the story first before the sex. Hopefully, once the first book is done now that it won’t have so many story threads going on in the next one.
