I thought I had a lot of questions before.
Finding myself back in Besmet with the demon from my dreams, I’m finding it hard to deny the connection I feel toward him, despite the fact that he’s certifiably insane.
When did my life get so chaotic?
My green magic isn’t stable. My moods aren’t stable. My ex isn’t stable. Gran’s not stable… oh who am I kidding? She’s never been stable, so at least one of us is consistent.
Luckily, I still have my guys; Cam, Fischer, Kai, and maybe Sloane. Honestly, I’m not sure that Sloane is capable of letting someone claim him, but he certainly makes my heart race.
Secrets, lies, and prophecies are coming to light. Hopefully I put my trust in the right people because betrayal on it’s own is terrible, but to be betrayed by those who swore to protect you? That would be devastating…
This is a full-length RH romance, intended for adults 18 and over, which includes MMFMMM content. It ends on a cliffhanger and contains domestic violence including physical, mental, and sexual abuse and other themes that readers may find triggering.
*This is the second book in a paranormal RH series.*
Also in this series: The Magic of Discovery, The Magic of Revenge

The Magic of Betrayal is book two Emerald Lakes Series by Britt Andrews. This is an Erotic Reverse Harem.
I felt like this installment had more to the story than the first book. The plot develops with some sad moments that made me cry and a few surprises along the way. We also have a lot more steam and sexy times which are very hot and get the blood pumping.
As for the story we have a scene in which the guys betray her. I was indifferent about this and how it played out. Our lead claimed to be pissed at the guys and suspicious of their motives, but she still trusts them. It was contradictory.
This one goes overboard in the pet nicknames that the characters give each other. We had it in book one, but here it’s excessive. And it’s not just that it was excessive, but some of them were really bad. Really!! We already have a lot of characters to remember. Now we have to keep track of the pet names too…
Overall this was just ok. It was still all over the place, confusing at times, and full of steam. I’ll give the series one more book, but I just don’t have high hopes that this reverse harem series will work out. The mystery and prophecy are cool. Yet, it still feels juvenile. I’m torn between feeling excited about what went down and being frustrated.

So I see you continued into the next book! But maybe not a series to finish based on what you’ve thought so far. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Ya, I only read up to 3 and decided to stop. It’s not a series for me. Thanks for visiting!
Yees, very confusing for you. Looks like you’re giving it a good try.
I stopped after book 3. It’s a 5 book series, but I just couldn’t do it anymore.
