Monthly Wrap Up

Angel’s Monthly Wrap Up ~ July 2025

Welcome To July’s Monthly Wrap Up

HAPPY AUGUEST!  It’s that time to get ready for back to school.  I’m ready for a more regular routine, but before that lets talk about JULY.

First up is our trip back east.  It’s so weird saying that.  Both my hubby and me are from Illinois/Indiana and our family is still their.  We went back to enjoy the 4th of July on Lake Syracuse & Wawasee.  The trip out was delayed on all flights to Chicago and then to South Bend.  Then on the way home we also got delayed and missed our flight out of Chicago and ended up spending the night with Grandparents in Lake Forest.  I’ve never had so many delays before when flying.  This was such a weird airport trip.  We did all the fun lake stuff like jet skinning, tubbing, and swimming.  Lost’s of fun!

July is my favorite month because we celebrate my and my hubby’s birthdays. We both turned 43 and celebrated at home together. We also got some fun gifts. An easy Badminton Set that can be taken anywhere and a cool outdoor rocking chair which is great for me to read outside.

Panda is doing fabulous. We have been walking all summer about a 1.5-2 miles daily, which has given us some good time to listen to an audiobook uninterrupted. When she’s not walking she’s laying between rooms to guard use. ^_^

Last, I picked up some cool artwork from Displate.com (metal posters).  I’ve been looking for something to put in our hall bathroom and I love cherry blossoms.  I also found some cool book ones to hang by my computer/bookshelves downstairs.

Congratulations to these winners from this month!

  1. I love that we both went home to the mid-west for a 4th on the lake (and both had travel delays). It looks like you had a great time. How’s the house? Have you finished everything you wanted to when you moved it?

    1. The house has been finished for a year now. We really love our place. I love my bookshelves I had specially made for a mini-library ^_^. Now all my books and be shown off. I also love our backyard. Perfect for relaxing! YA for visiting family back East (mid-West area). It was great to get back and see how much my home town has changed and enjoy the lake. Thanks for visiting!

  2. Ahh, neat that you got to come neat for Fourth of July to visit the folks on both sides and also had a fun birthday month. I love the outdoor swing and badminton set for gifts. Way to go you and Panda getting in a couple miles a day.

    Have a good August, Angela!

    1. July is always my favorite month, we do so much and have a lot of fun. This year was great to visit family and get some fun gifts everyone can enjoy. I’m trying to make a point to walk everyday and Panda loves to walk ^_^.
      Have a wonderful August.

  3. Great you had the family time and a safe trip. Happy birthdays! You read some great books too. What you call a rocking chair, we call a swing and we LOVE ours. Ours seats three and we use it almost every day.

  4. Glad that even with all those delays you were able to get to enjoy some time on your trips with family. Here’s to August being a better reading month for me. It’s crazy to think that I get more reading done because of time to listen to audiobooks on my drive to and from work and then actually getting to sit and read during my lunch break without my dogs bugging me the whole time, lol.

    1. It was a nice relaxing trip and great to see family. I’m really into audiobooks this year. It’s been easier for me. Reading has not happened, but listening amazing. A long time ago when I worked I used to do the drive and listen to audiobooks too. It was great! Thanks Lisa for visiting and chatting.

  5. Im glad you had fun on your trip and great wrap up. Thanks for sharing.
