From Pages to Pixels

This month, I’ve been making a conscious effort to swap screen time for sunshine. Between longer walks, weekend soccer, and a relaxing Spring Break this month, I’ve spent way more time outdoors than on the couch!
When I did settle in for some TV, I stayed busy on Netflix, where I’m currently finishing up Season 7 of Rizzoli & Isles. Since I have Paramount+, Apple TV, and Peacock all bundled through Amazon, I’ve also been catching plenty of soccer matches on the weekends. As for new series, I started CIA & Marshals A Yellowstone Story and absolutely binged Scarpetta—it has a great cast and a cliffhanger ending that was just perfect for TV.
I’m also keeping up with my usual favorites like Tracker, NCIS, NCIS: Origins, FBI, and Judy Justice. Plus, Season 2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is finally out, so I’m diving right back into that world after loving the first season!

I got my mom hooked on the first season of Monarch, and now it’s our Friday night thing. Getting ready to go over tonight to watch after the storms pass through!

I’m really enjoying Monarch so far! It’s so sweet that you and your mom have made a Friday night out of it.
Love Tracker! I watched the first Scarpetta but was a little disappointed by the amount of time spent on the over-the-top drama between Kay and her sister. It’s there in the book, but not as much and I felt it was easier to take on the page. I do want to continue to watch and see how it goes. I’m watching and loving The Closer all over again and I’m watching and enjoying Will Trent despite it being so very different from the books.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your watchlist, Rachel! If I had Hulu, Will Trent and High Potential would definitely be at the top of my list—I’m a fan of both. I actually did a full rewatch of The Closer and wrapped it up back in December 2025. I also really loved the Scarpetta series; even though the family drama is pretty intense, those time slips between the past and present kept me hooked. The mystery of the killer was so gripping that the drama just faded into the background by that explosive ending. Bam!!
Rizzoli & Isles was such a good show and I’m looking forward to CIA.
It’s been fun revisit a classic like Rizzoli & Isles! Thanks for stopping by, Mary.
