*Prequel to the Last Witch Standing Series*
The last thing Phoebe Kilsen, vampire tracker and witch extraordinaire, expects to be doing is hunting shifters. But when innocent vampires start to go missing in the city of New Orleans, she’s asked to do just that. It doesn’t take long before she has a shifter in her sights. The problem? It seems she’d rather kiss him than fight him.
Bewitched By Moonlight is a prequel to the Last Witch Standing series by Deanna Chase. It’s a short story that’s supposed to give you insight into the main players and set the stage for what’s to come.
Phoebe likes her work; which is policing the supernatural activities in New Orleans. This go round she’s working with werewolves and vampires.
Dax is a mysterious shifter who intervenes in Phoebes case.
In my opinion it’s not necessary to read this before book one, Soulless at Sunset. The insight we get, to me, was not much. As for the romance or set up with Phoebe and Dax I didn’t care that it had our leads hopping into bed after a few hours of knowing each other.
Bewitched By Moonlight was ok. I read it after reading book one and it didn’t make me want to go out and read the series. I picked it up as a freebie and I don’t feel it’s worth paying for; especially since it’s so short.

I think I have read a Deanna Chase before, not this series, but something. I don’t think I was impressed enough to continue. I’ll have to look back at my shelves. It’s always a crap shoot with the short stories. Sometimes I don’t really see the point in them.
Sometimes short stories add to the series, but this one didn’t. I’ve not had much luck with Deanna Chase. I’ve picked up a few of her 1st in a series, but nothing has clicked. I’ve got a few more to try. Thank’s for visiting!
I’ve not had much luck with Deanna Chase. I’ve picked up a few of her books, 1st in a series for free, yet they just haven’t hit the mark. I’ve got two more from this author in different series that I’ll give a try, but I’ve not continue any of the series I’ve tried so far. I will say the covers for Last Witch Standing are colorful and appealing, but this prequel and book one didn’t work for me. Thank’s for visiting!
Oh too bad. I wanted to try one of her books
Appreciate knowing that. I never know if I can skip the short ones and dive right in. Some are necessary, but sounds like this one isn’t.
I like it when a review lets me know if the shorts are important or if I can skip them. I’m glad to help. Thank’s for visiting!
