Soldier - Julie and her Griffin unit are sent from one mission to the next as the tension in the para world rises.

Tactical - There’s a dark moon rising in Avalon…

Officer - Julie’s secret is out of the bag, and she’s been benched by royal decree.

Soldier is book six in the Para-Military Recruiter series by Renée Jaggér & Michael Anderle. I read this through Kindle Unlimited.

The series does need to be read in order.

Juli’s is learning who she is, her powers are increasing and she’s learning how to wield them.

We get some relationship drama and problems. Not a fan of how Juli treats Taylor in this novel. I was frustrated with her actions towards Taylor. As for the overall ARC we see that war is coming and there is a mole in the PMA. The story packs a lot into this novel.

Soldier was an enjoyable read. Looking forward to reading on.

Tactical is book seven in the Para-Military Recruiter series by Renée Jaggér & Michael Anderle. I read this through Kindle Unlimited.

Tactical picks up where Soldier ends. The authors sure know how to keep you coming back for more.

Julie gets promoted and gets the Avalon fortress into shape. She’s training separate teams into working as one with the Eternal Palace guards and she has to contend with a growing dragon egg.

Tactical was an enjoyable read. I enjoyed the progression and Julie’s growth. It’s full of intrigue, suspense, action, humor and a little bit of romance.

Officer is book seven in the Para-Military Recruiter series by Renée Jaggér & Michael Anderle. I read this through Kindle Unlimited.

Uh! This felt like a filler novel. Nothing happens until the last 10% of the book. I could’ve done without this book.

There is no progress in the overall story ARC. Julie is just showing off now! She keeps leveling up and surpassing her teachers/mentors and even older, experienced fae.

Officer was not the book for me. If the blurb intrigues you, I urge you to give it a shot. Just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t for you.

About Michael Anderle

Michael Anderle (ok, weird talking about myself in the 3rd person) (1967-Hopefully a long time from NOW) was born in Houston, Tx. A very curious child, he got into trouble – a lot. What to do with an inquisitive mind when he was grounded? Read!

Ok, done with all of that 3rd person stuff.

In the first 20 years, I mostly read Science Fiction and Fantasy. In the last 10 years I have enjoyed Urban Fantasy and Military Fiction. With this background, I’ve been blessed with creating The Kurtherian Gambit series, a well-selling, and fan loved, collection of stories.

The fans have propelled these stories beyond my wildest imagination and they should get all of the credit for sharing with friends, family and occasionally the random person on the street. They are fantastic!

About Renée Jaggér

A long time ago I was born in Los Angeles. That’s where I spent many of my formative years. After I became an adult, I moved around for a bit before ending up in a small town in Oregon, very similar to Bailey’s hometown. Greenhearth is fake, if you haven’t already Googled that, but it’s like many small towns with less than 1,000 people.

My pets…
I love animals, especially my two even if they do create havoc in my daily life. I have a cat, named Snowstorm, Storm for short. Then I have a rescue, Josephine. She’s a Labradoodle – I think. It’s hard to say but it’s the best I can come up with.

What I’m working on…
I’m already working on the next book in the series – was working on it before Bad Attitude came back from editing. And now that it has released, need to stay on track with A Bit Aggressive.

    1. The series isn’t even done. It’s got a lot of books. It’s been interesting, but not something I’d visit again. It’s more YA or New Adult vibes to me. Not my go to genres.
Thanks Lisa for checking out my reviews.

    1. It’s an interesting series. I’ve liked it so far. Just the last book I read wasn’t to good. 🙃 Oh well! When I get KU again I’ll try to finish the series. Thanks for checking out my reviews and sharing.

  1. Hadn’t heard of this series before, that seventh book sounds like a solid read, too bad about book 8 feeling like filler.

    1. It’s a 16 book series and their are bound to be books that feel like fillers. I’m not in KU atm, so I wont’ be reading on, but if I do get KU again I start the series back up. It’s New Adult. Young women growing into who she is meant to be. It’s been a fun and enjoyable Urban Fantasy series with a dash of Romance. Thanks Lola for visiting.
Have a great weekend and Happy Reading!
