The Beechwood Manor is filling up fast and Holly’s feeling the pinch.

There are several new roommates in the Beechwood Manor, and one of them is a royal witch.

Literally and figuratively.

Unrest in a haven-ally magical kingdom leads a foreign princess into hiding and the Supernatural Protection Agency deems the Beechwood Manor as the perfect safe house—and Holly, her perfect guardian.

But with Holly's business taking off and a new apprentice under her wing, a royal babysitting detail is the last thing she needs. Besides, the spoiled princess is adamant she can take care of herself. So who could blame her if her supervision is a little lax?

When tragedy strikes, the bratty royal’s problems land at the manor’s front door and it’s going to take all hands on deck if the paranormal roomies hope to make it out alive.

A Royal Witch is book seven in the Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery series by Danielle Garrett and narrated by Amanda Ronconi.

This was my first time experiencing a Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery novel via audio, and I was thoroughly impressed by the narration. While I initially followed the series through physical books and Kindle Unlimited, I’ve recently shifted my focus toward audiobooks—and this was the perfect way to dive back in.

I absolutely adored this fun and easy listen! Returning to Beechwood Harbor with Holly and the gang was such a delight. That said, I highly recommend reading the series in order to get the full experience.

The mystery centers on the kidnapping of a royal princess from a magical European kingdom who was seeking refuge at Beechwood Manor under the care of the Supernatural Protection Agency (SPA). I enjoyed this plotline; seeing Holly, Adam, Nick, and the rest of the gang collaborate with the SPA to uncover the truth was a highlight.

While Holly still finds herself in the line of fire, she now leans on her friends rather than acting as a reckless renegade. This shift highlights her significant growth throughout the series, which I found incredibly encouraging. Overall, the mystery was both compelling and high-stakes.

Audio: Amanda Ronconi does a masterful job of bringing Holly and her friends to life. Her performance is wonderful, and her interpretation of Holly is spot on—exactly what I pictured while reading the novels. Ms. Ronconi convincingly portrays Holly’s thoughts and emotions, and her distinct, well-suited voices for the paranormal characters add a fantastic layer to the story.

Overall, I had a blast with my first audiobook in this series. Between the engaging plot and the fantastic narration, I’m officially hooked and ready to dive into the next adventure with Holly and the gang.
