Welcome To November’s Monthly Wrap Up

We started November in Chicago. We had went their for a wedding and the kids 13th Birthday was that weekend, so we had a party for him with all the family in town for the wedding. He had a whole day of fun! When we got back I picked Panda up from boarding and of course she started coughing. I kept telling the family it’s ok. It will run it’s course, but of course my kid was afraid Panda would die, so I took her to the Vet. Lets just say it cost a lot and the dog was fine. No issues! <sigh> I guess safe then sorry. We wrapped up Tennis and AYSO Soccer. I put the Christmas Tree up early. I love putting the tree up in November. Makes the Holidays (Thanksgiving & Christmas) more festive. We also had a lot of rain and I got out when their was a break in the rain. Last, Thanksgiving was a small family affair. We did have my 3rd Cousin come for Thanksgiving. He is in California until June next year working, so we didn’t want him to spend the holiday alone. It was nice!

I signed up for BlueSky. Find the link on the side-bar or on LinkTr. Not sure yet if I’ll focus more on Threads or BlueSky. I like both! I’m trying to interact more on Socials – BlueSky and Threads. Twitter aka X I’m done with. Only thing posted is the giveaway tweets people still do on Rafflecopter.
I’ve been working on writing reviews for older titles I’ve already read, but never fully reviewed. You will see them on the Blog and Goodreads.
I’m still working on updating all the reviews and blog posts that where transferred over when I moved my blog and changed it’s name. It’s a work in progress. Takes a lot of time updating the reviews into Ultimate Reviewer Blogger plugin and make sure the links and pictures are updated in all the previously published posts.
Reading & Challenges: Well I picked up three books from my library and read 2 in November. I’ve now read 6 library books this year out of my goal of 12. COYER Chapter 4 Fall: I’ve read 3 books for it. The Audiobook Challenge I’ve listened to 14 out of my goal of 15. The Backlist Reader I’ve read 8 out of my goal of 12. And, last The Thrifty Thursday I’ve read 3 out of my goal of 12. This year hasn’t been the best on reading. I’m know looking forward to 2025.
Books of My Heart hosts The Top 10 list. I’m not sure if I’ll participate this year, but I do enjoying seeing what book lovers pick. Grab the #Top10of2024 button.

You had a ton of things going on last month! I haven’t been to Chicago in a while, but I do love it there! It was a year or two ago I had an issue with both my dogs where I took them to the vet and it cost a bunch of money and they were completely fine. I’m still working on paying that off. Ugh. But they are my babies, so couldn’t not take them. Hope December is going well for you!
What a busy month! I hope you enjoyed your small family Thanksgiving. We were at my in-laws, who hosted 24 of us! It was a fun day. The entire weekend was wonderful, but now that it’s over, it felt so short. Both kids were home and it was a nice time.
I tried to be social on Threads, but the algorithms and organization make it so frustrating. I’m so glad so many more folks are coming to BlueSky!
I’ve notice a lot more people on BlueSky. Will see which I’m more social on. Not many comment back, so who knows ^_^. It’s so nice you got to be with family. I remember the days when my grandparents where still alive, grandma would host and it was a big family get together. My mom had 2 sisters and their families. It was wonderful! This year it was nice to have a small gamily get together. Now It’s Monday and school is back in session. Have a great week!
Fun start to your November with the trip and party. Sweet of you to have your cousin over for Thanksgiving. Ah, Panda, glad its nothing serious, but yeah Vet costs are no joke.
You’ve had a busy year so the fact that you got half way on your reading challenges are great.
Have a good December, Angela!
Thanks Sophia for visiting. Halfway to my goal on the challenges is better then nothing. I feel like everything I read is the same storyline just a bit different. Nothing has grabbed me. I still keep trying. The Vet is no joke, but living in California everything is double the price as it was in the Mid-West. Have a great week!
Sometimes you just have to read what you want or do other things. I’ve done a lot less challenges this year and focused on personal reading goals. December is a time when I read what I want and I’ve checked out some library books for it and made a list of ones I own. I’ve read almost all my December ARCs already.
Thanks so much for the Top 10 shoutout! It is fun to see people’s lists even if they only do a few of the lists.
You are welcome for the shoutout. I like seeing what people pick for the end of year stuff. I just can’t seam to get out of my reading slump. I did finally grab a few books this month from the library. Looking forward to 2025 and I’m going to slim down even more on my Reading Challenges and try to get back to reading.
Thanks for visiting. Have a wonderful weekend and a Magical December!
