Welcome to another Tell Me Something Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a fantastic start. This weekly meme is a great way to chat about books, blogging, and life in general.

Our topic for today is: Do you have any summer plans? If not, what would you like to do?

As for me, we don’t have any big travel plans on the calendar this year, but I’m looking forward to a productive, relaxing, and relatively low-key summer at home. My main focus is sticking to a few healthy daily habits and finding a good routine.

Here is what my summer is looking like:

  • Staying Active: I’m focusing on consistency by keeping up with my daily walks and aiming for a 10-minute core exercise routine at least 5 days a week.

  • Getting Creative: I recently started a new paint-by-number project! It has been a while since I’ve really felt like painting, so I’m enjoying sitting down to do a little bit at a time.

  • Tons of Audiobooks: Naturally, my headphones will be glued to my ears. I plan to listen to as many audiobooks as I possibly can while I walk and paint!

  • High School Prep & Tennis: The biggest shift for our family this season is that my kid is entering high school in the fall! He really wants to do Cross Country, so he has already started afternoon workouts 4 days a week. He is absolutely loving it so far. On top of his running schedule, we’re also going to try to squeeze in some tennis together. It feels so good to get away from the electronics and unplug for a few hours every day.

Now it’s your turn!

  1. I like your low key plans. I’ve got a few day trips planned, but nothing big. On super hot days, I plan to work on my puzzles and listen to audios in the heat of the day times, but I also want to get in my early morning walk and lots of time out in my garden in the mornings before chores and errands.

  2. Oh, I love your “goals” for the summer. That’s a great plan. And good luck on the transition. My oldest is transitioning from college to his first job!

  3. No big travel plans for me either this summer. I had hoped to get some writing done, but don’t know that I feel like it? I also wanted to get a lot of things cleared out of my house, but with bringing my stuff home from one job, until I get it out of my back bedroom I can’t really do much right now. Hope you get to do all the things you wanted, no matter how small, this summer.

    1. Thanks for visiting and sharing your summer plans, Lisa! It always feels so good to clear things out and make some breathing room, so I hope you’re able to tackle that back bedroom eventually. I really hope you find the inspiration to get some writing done, too—that sounds like a wonderful project. We’re keeping things pretty low-key over here this summer as we get ready for freshman year of high school! Happy Summer!
