I've said it before, but sometimes I'm a bad person. I cheated on my twelfth grade math final, I've run countless yellow lights, and I gossip about how hot my kickass best friends are. (Good thing my job as a guild bartender doesn't require moral perfection.)
But there's bad, and then there's bad. And I'm not sure which applies to a certain dark druid/wanted criminal/reluctant friend of mine. His transgressions include black-magic dealings, kidnapping, and murder, and he's about to add "revenge-fueled killing spree" to his resume—if I don't stop him.
Should I stop him?
He and his nemesis are gearing up to tear each other apart, rogues and vultures are converging with their sights on the spoils, and the guilds that would normally stomp them into the ground are under attack. We're on the brink of an all-out criminal turf war, and my time to decide is almost up.
Who's the real bad guy… and do I dare stand in his way?

Druid Vices and a Vodka is book six in The Guild Codex: Spellbound series by Annette Marie and narrated by Cris Dukeheart.
Another action-packed, high-stakes adventure, this is the most intense installment in the series yet. Druids, demons, summoners, and witches await in this fast-paced, character-driven urban fantasy.
The stakes couldn’t be higher, and there is so much on the line for everyone! Fortunately, Tori has grown immensely over the course of the series. Though she’s still as vulnerable and delightfully stubborn as ever, her emotional strength and fierce dedication to her friends make her incredible to root for—even if her physical strength is still catching up!
Tori is desperate to help Ezra, who is bound to a demon with time rapidly running out. When she’s also called on to assist Zak—aka the Ghost—a chain reaction of events unfolds, dragging her friend Kai into the fallout. Who will survive? Will friendships withstand the trial, and can love still bloom? What follows ripped my heart out, made me scream, and kept me on the edge of my seat. Tori is kickass and loyal to a fault, making her struggles painful to watch—but gads, is she clever.
Audio: Cris Dukeheart is truly the voice of this series and these characters. She does a stellar job of capturing every emotional nuance and setting the perfect tone for each moment. I’m thoroughly enjoying these audiobooks and highly recommend them!

No worries at all! So glad you dropped by. This one was definitely a fun read!
I’m loving this series. I’ve fallen behind in writing reviews for them, but I’m still reading! This story has certainly taken some interesting turns in this book.
It really did take some unexpected turns! Thanks so much for visiting and checking out the review. I’m thrilled you’re enjoying the read-along and the series so far!
Great review! I wish you had been able to be on the chat. I didn’t love this one as much as you, primarily because so much happened and nothing is resolved. I also didn’t love all of the secrets. I sure hope things start to get straightened out soon.
I missed the chat too, Jen! I hadn’t even started the book when it happened because I was so far behind 😔. I’m really hoping to be caught up and make the next one on time! I totally agree with you—there were so many secrets and so much happened without much being resolved. Thanks so much for stopping by to share your thoughts and chat!
I love seeing Tori growing throughout this series, but also her strength as a loyal friend and more that makes her one of the team. Getting crazy exciting with each new installment.
I’m right there with you! Tori’s growth and unwavering loyalty make her such a great main character. So much went down in this installment, and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Thanks so much for stopping by to read and share your thoughts, Sophia!
This one was a deluge of new information and problems. It really pushed up the suspense since while we got new info, it all seemed to be more problems. Thanks for reading with us and sharing your reviews!
Hi Anne, thanks for stopping by! I’m behind on posting and missed the chat, but I couldn’t agree more—this book really ramped up the action and packed in so much information. I’m dying to see how it all ends for everyone. Having Robin pop in for a cameo was fantastic, too! It really brings the whole Guild Codex world together.
I drive a lot and love getting a good audiobook to listen to. I am so loving the cover of this one and it sounds like a good one for sure.

Heather, this series has been a blast! I’m in love with all the covers and titles. Audiobooks have been a total lifesaver for me this year since I rarely get time for physical books or e-books. Thanks so much for stopping by and reading my review!
